About this property

Les Cavaleries, cozy and characteristic apartment in former wine cave

The cozy apartment is suitable for 2-4 people. There are 2 double bedrooms. The living room / kitchen of the apartment is very atmospheric with many authentic details. Especially the authentic archer holes give you the feeling of staying in a knight quartier. The archer holes have been transformed into colorful glass-stained windows by an artist who once stayed there.

Les Cavaleries is tucked away in the hills near the picturesque village of Beaulieu-sur-Dordogne, one of the most beautiful villages in the Corrèze. In the immediate vicinity are 6 picturesque villages on the list of most beautiful villages in France.

The characteristic house is at the end of a dead-end road. From the garden you have a fantastic view of the hills and every morning you can see the clouds of mist that hang over the Dordogne. Fortunately they often get up again quickly and the sun comes out.

From the apartment you walk straight into the woods. Through forest trails, country roads and hamlets you walk in about 1.5 hours to the lively Beaulieu sur Dordogne. At the top of the forest trail you can also walk the other way towards small picturesque villages and eventually end up in Curemonte for lunch.

The stone house still has very authentic elements such as sinks, niches and archer holes. There is also an old bread oven at the house, which used to be used by all villagers.

Les Cavaleries is a place to relax, to enjoy nature, the starry sky, French cuisine, wines and cheeses.

But if you want an active holiday, there are also a lot of possibilities. From Les Cavaleries there are several beautiful bike rides to make. The walks are always beautiful, which way you walk out.

The region is also known for its historic sights.

There are several terraces in the garden, both sunny and shady, where you can enjoy your breakfast or dinner in peace.

A few days a week we cook and guests can sit down.

The apartments are equipped with their own kitchen. But if you want us to take care of breakfast, you can.

In the area you can enjoy in peace the beautiful nature, the medieval towns and the delicious food. The more famous tourist destinations in the Lot and Dordogne are also easily accessible.

In high season the apartments can only be rented per week!
