We wanted rest and relaxation in Rimbo and found and enjoyed it. Lovely little old cottage with everything you need.
And the area is wonderful for running, hiking, etc... all in all: very nice.
Thanks to Carina and Roger
Very nice comforteble and cosy house close to the Swedisch cost
The hosts Carina and Roger give us a warm welcome and show us the very nicely decorated and comfortable house. They are always available for questions or anything we might need. It is situated in a quiete area. From this little town Rimbo we are in no time in Stockholm, in Uppsala or in Norrtelje where you can make a boat trip. In a 5 minutes walk you can swim in the lake and around Rimbo you find nature, culture - rune stones from the Viking age - and lots of possibilities for walking, running, biking and enjoying the real Swedish life. We enjoyed our stay here a lot.
Herrlich!
Thank you for the amazing stay at your wonderful little house!
It's been decorated and redone with so much love for details and truly felt like a home for the time we were there.
We really loved the entire house with it's Swedish Charme, the garden, the porch and the little forrest right next to it.
It's the ideal place to go to when you don't have a car but want to see the countryside of Sweden and still be able to get around. The connection with the bus from Arlanda airport is great and easy to use and if you download the app of the bus company (SL) you can buy tickets on there, look up connections and all of that in English ;)
Rimbo is about 30 min on the bus from Norrtälje and 70 in bus and metro from Stockholm. So it's easy to make great day trips from there and be home in the evening :)
The lake which is about a 10min walk away is beautiful and great for swimming and the woods around the area are great for hiking and exploring!
There are a couple of supermarkets in walking distance so it's easy to do shopping even without a car.
We loved to stay there and Carina and Roger were great hosts! Thank you so much!!

About the host
Hosted by Carina or Roger
We - Carina and Roger - moved out from Stockholm to Rimbo in 2014, in a desire to have additional living space and the all-important garden. Carina is a professional translator who works from home, and Roger is now retired.
Why they chose this property
We bought this property, which is adjacent to the one we live on, when is came on the market in 2017. It seemed natural to join them together and increase the outdoor space. Accordingly, you might meet us in the garden, which you of course are free to use also.
What makes this property unique
The small cluster of houses where we live were built around 100 years ago by and for the employees at the nearby brickworks. Most of the houses are traditional Swedish wooden cottages painted red with white gables.
