Wonderful cottage

Lovely cosy cottage, spotlessly clean and very thoughtfully equipped. Loved the log burner on an evening. Cottage is full of character and in a wonderful location with walks from the doorstep, stunning views and a pleasant stroll in to Keswick. Highly recommend.

The cottage has a lovely location, on a rural farm just outside Keswick over looking the fells.

The cottage has a lovely location, on a rural farm just outside Keswick over looking the fells. It was a short walk (~25mins) into central town via the road, although you can take two alternative off road routes they just take a little longer (~40min). The cottage itself was newly renovated and well equipped with everything you might need.

Lovely cottage with wonderful views clean and comfortable- no washing machine is a problem - and one tea towel for a week! We bought our own to use - easily remedied points - would still consider booking again

I stayed at tarn rigg for a week, it is about a mile from keswick town centre but the walk into town

I stayed at tarn rigg for a week, it is about a mile from keswick town centre but the walk into town takes about 20 minutes and its a lovely walk, coming back sometimes we got a taxi which was about 4 pounds. The cottage is so cosy, has everything you need, the bed is so comfortable as is the lounge area. There are some seats outside for you to sit out at night and enjoy the view. The views are stunning from the cottage and we didnt notice we were on a working farm. Its idyllic and i will be returning. We used it as a base for a week of adventure and it was amazing!

Absolutely loved staying in Tarn Rigg cottage! Beautiful newly converted barn, decorated really well

Absolutely loved staying in Tarn Rigg cottage! Beautiful newly converted barn, decorated really well and with way more space than you would expect! Would like a couple of cosy throws for snuggling up at night when the weather is rubbish and some spare bin bags but minor things ? Everything was wonderful and the location is absolutely stunning. The views of Catbells and the proximity to Latrigg are perfect as we love those walks. 5mins in the car to Keswick centre. Will definitely be staying again and might bring the rest of the family in the cottage next door too! ?

Good layout with easy to use compact kitchen and cosy dining /lounge area.

Good layout with easy to use compact kitchen and cosy dining /lounge area.Terraced level road above the cottage making a interesting route along the side of the valley with its spectacular views and forming a easy return through the fields to the cottage. Only criticisms were the need to arrange the garden to give the next door cottage and this one some sort of separate areas, which the owners are looking into, and personally would prefer dining chairs with table instead of benches.

Only marked it down on equipment, as WI FI is pretty much non existent.

Only marked it down on equipment, as WI FI is pretty much non existent. Not a big downer but I had hoped to watch a footy game on iPad. As mobile signal was very weak also, it could be a problem for some. Knowing this in advance wouldn’t stop us from booking this delightful modern property again. Nice to see the new born lambs & chat with the owner. All in all a wonderful stay in a peaceful stunning location.

Lovely cottage, beautifully finished. Comfortable beds, wood burning stove a real plus. Suggested improvements: provide dishwasher tablets and provide details of where WiFi router is located (took ages to find it in the window seat box).
