This stunning house with its light, airy and spacious interior is situated in a small hamlet surrounded by peaceful countryside, close to the town of Bussiere Poitevine.
The layout of our home is classic old farmhouse; renovation has been elegantly executed with attention to detail including free standing kitchen and original floor with doors opening to the garden. The living room has been tastefully renovated and decorated to give an elegant country feel, with feature fireplace including freestanding wood burning stove, double doors to the garden. Plenty of comfortable seating including two Chesterfield Sofa’s and Armchair.

The hamlet is a short 5 minutes’ drive into Bussière-Poitevine, there are also open countryside walks to the local village including cycle route.

Bussière-Poitevine is a great little village; with everything you need! Bars, restaurants, Pharmacy, Bank, General Stores, Boulangerie to name but a few. It is between the two rivers, Gartempe and Vienne and close to many tourist attractions including Le Dorat and L'Isle Jourdain; because of its easy access to the Route Nationale (N147) it is also an idea location for venturing further afield to Bellac, Montmerillion, Mortemart, Le Dorat amongst others.

Getting to the area is easy with flights from many UK airports into Limoges (55km) and Poitiers (66km); the nearest trains at Le Dorat (15km) have links to services to Poitiers train station where you have TGV connections to Paris, Bordeaux, London & Brussels.

Peaceful rurul location

A gorgeous old stone farmhouse which has retained its rustic style yet has been restored to a very high standard, with high-spec equipment e.g. fridge, washing-machine, dishwasher etc. Very spacious, beautifully renovated fairly recently in a cool clean luxurious style, huge garden, very peaceful. Mile and a half to local village which contains all necessary amenities, shop, boulangerie, boucherie, library, health centre, hardware store, Post Office, bank, cafe etc. Lovely rural area, excellent for walking or cycling, old towns to visit and some good restaurants within easy reach by car. Very helpful owners.

Peaceful and relaxing getaway.

Have just returned from spending a week here and just want to turn round and go back. A traditional farmhouse with original features the Walnut Tree has been tastefully decorated and had every modern creature comfort we needed for our perfect getaway and more! It's very quiet, in a tiny hamlet surrounded by farmland but there is a pizzeria nearby that serves delicious food and there are shops and supermarkets a short drive away. There are also some pretty villages within easy driving distance that are worth visiting. Communication with Simon was quick and easy and Sarah was close by if we needed anything. This was just what we needed after being locked down due to covid. Peaceful, relaxing and we were very comfortable in what really is a 'home from home'.
