Penhayle is a large, detached house in a magnificent lakeside position.

Penhayle is a spacious, light and large detached house located in the popular Cornish resort of Roserrow. It holds a magnificent lakeside position with glorious views across the valley to The Point's golf course. Beautifully furnished throughout in a farmhouse style with a nautical twist, this large holiday home is ideal for a multi-generational family getaway and can sleep up to twelve guests.

The large living area and adjoining conservatory on the ground floor are perfect for winding down after long days exploring the delights of North Cornwall. Curl up in front of the open fire with a good book or keep the whole family entertained with a movie night on the flat screen television. The well-equipped kitchen includes all the essentials plus a food processor, coffee maker and a dishwasher to make clean up easy; whip up a home-cooked meal and gather your family and friends round the large dining table to dig in. Bedroom five is also located on the ground floor, and has two cosy single beds, two pull out beds and an en-suite bathroom with a luxurious power shower.

The further four bedrooms are on the first floor; one double with an en-suite bathroom, one king-size room with an en-suite shower room and two rooms with cosy twin single beds, both serviced by the family bathroom with bath, wash basin and WC. The very large bedrooms allow each guest to have their own space to relax and unwind in.

Penhayle boasts a large grassy garden to the rear, which is perfect for the little ones who can play till their hearts' content, whilst the rest of the family can sit and relax with their favourite tipple in the Cornish sunshine or cook up a classic summer barbecue all whilst admiring the stunning lakeside views.

Ok with us. Lovely house, lovely spot, enjoyed the heron’s visit each morning. Good place for the golf club’s facilities.

Fantastic place.

What a fantastic place to stay, we really enjoyed, beautiful view, peaceful location, very closer to beach. Lots of space in the house andoutside. Definitely recommend, also if we visiting this area Definitely book this place if any availability.

Great location, very poor value sub-standard house

We were excited in booking our 5th stay with Cornwall Hideaways, based on previous excellent results. So what a shock on a paying premium price to arrive on a dark December evening to an aged, unclean, uncomfortable house. Cobwebs in the ceilings, around windows and the fireplace was not swept. Entering one bedroom, was greeted by a swarm of flies. Walls - scuff marks galore, carpets and flooring worn/aged. TV's only 2, non upstairs - of these 1 didn't work at all, whilst we waited one day for a remote to be located. Sofa's - reminded me of what you would expect in a well used bedsit. Beds - main bed soft and sagging. Internet very good and bedding and towels very clean. Admin and support from the Cornish Hideaways team very good and supportive but couldn't make-up for the above. Notably have not (yet?) offered any reduction for a sub-standard house.

An excellent house in good location for a family holiday

The house is spacious and accommodated our family , ages ranging from 70 through to teenagers, a toddler and 2 week old babe in arms, with ease. The house has a homely feel. We were able to use the sports facilities at the Point which means that cold or damp weather does not leave you stuck inside. The short walk, across the golf course to the beach was really handy. One drawback, not just of the house but of the whole of Polzeath is the lack of recycling. We made two lengthy journeys to Wadebridge and surrounding areas in order to dispose of recycle-able waste over half of which had been left by the previous holidayers.

Ideal family holiday home

Wonderful house and the garden is amazing although the garden furniture needs updating and/or replacing. House is spacious and great for a big family gathering, plenty of seating for eating and also relaxing. Some attention needed as a couple of things are becoming tired and need replacing but overall, it was very good and ideal for our holiday. Bed linen and towels were immaculate.
