A spacious and well designed house in a lovely location.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Webbs Retreat. The house is well designed with a nice roomy kitchen and lovely large diinng table with room for us all to sit round. The living room has plenty of room and is light and spacious with the conservatory end and provided a nice area for relaxing in the evenings. It was also particularly helpful to have a bathroom with each room. It was February so we did not explore the garden but we very much enjoyed the local walks to Polzeath and Rock.

Family visit

We had a really good break and thought that overall the house was superb. However cooking for ten we found that the size of the cooker was inadequate. We were also surprised that there were no facilities for recycling bottles, cardboard or plastic items.

Lovely house and garden in excellent location

The house was clean and comfortable and provided excellent space for a family group of 10 adults. We particularly liked being able to comfortably sit all 10 of us around the table for meals and also also all 10 in the lounge for games and movies. The pool table in the garage provided lots of entertainment and the garden was not only beautiful but big enough for playing frisbee and offered a bar-b-q . We enjoyed walks from the house to Pentire point and Rock, as well as into Polzeath. For us it was the perfect base for a wonderful holiday.

Disappointing

An excellent location but very poor state inside. One of the beds had a broken spring and was badly stained, no light in one of the en suites. Generally tired and dirty. Everywhere needed a deep clean, floors were dirty and sticky. Settees we didn't even sit on as they were filthy, especially worrying in times of covid!

Webb’s Retreat

We had a lovely week. The property has a great garden and pool table. And the estate it is on is a great base for walking to the beach. The inside was clean and comfortable but is starting to look quite dated. It’s probably due for a refurb.

6/10 Okay

Improvements needed

On arrival the property needed additional cleaning by us: Hundreds Dead flies In bedrooms Kitchen cleaning not good- some plates dirty, cutlery not all clean. One champagne glass. Cutlery terrible and not matching , not enough to go round family for a two course meal (7 long knives, all terrible quality and awful square heavy plates, cheese grater dirty on arrival) Downstairs bathroom had lots of hair in plug hole Two upstairs bathrooms had broken shower attachments. Blood on one of bathmats on arrival. I have photos to document if you would like me to send. We are staying with you August 2021 in another property. Did like Webbs Retreat, but Kitchen not clean enough on arrival,

A wonderful place for a family break

A spacious well equipped house with good sized bedrooms and lounge area. Lovely rear garden and plenty of parking...& a pool table in the garage! Only two minor criticisms - the cooker is too small to easily cater for 10 and the recycling process needs sorting. This is the second time we’ve stayed at Webb’s Retreat & the 8th or 9th time we have used Cornwall Hideaways so we must be very satisfied!

Well equipped house with great facilities for a large group

We have stayed at Webbs Retreat many times before and it is a great place for a large family group. We especially like the fact all bedrooms have an en suite bathroom as well as a downstairs loo too. There is also plenty of room at the dining table and in the lounge for a large group. Would have given excellent for comfort but the mattresses were more uncomfortable this time - or are we just getting older ! The Point restaurant is normally very good but was a little chaotic when we ate there on a Sunday - think there might be new management who need to bed in. Food good once we got it !

Family holiday

Webb’s Retreat is not a well designed houseThe kitchen is at the front of the house making it a long way to eat in the garden. The twin beds down stairs were very uncomfortable. I finished up sleeping on the couch. And my son slept upstairs on the floor as his single bed was also uncomfortable. It is a very dated house and furniture some what grubby. Looks like my auntie lived there. (I am 74 years old ). The decorations picture, mirrors etc all all positioned far to high. The whole place looks like they have bought from a house clearance sale. The bedside light in one bedroom was on a chest of drawers at the foot of the bed. Not great
