Family holiday

We needed several rooms and a good number of bathrooms to accommodate my grown up family and my brother and his son from England. This house had it all, plus a lovely location by the marina, close to the airport and Belfast, and plenty to keep us amused. Perfect location for our needs.

Perfect weekend getaway

This house was perfect for a family weekend getaway. We took long, beautiful walks from the front door, explored local gardens and visited Giants Causeway. The owners were accessible and kind. The house’s decor was great too. Hope we have an opportunity to return.

Beautiful property offering plenty of space for a family group in a great location

I stayed at Oscar’s for 3 nights in late March, along with my husband, my 79 year old mother, my daughter (23) and son (21). It provided a peaceful and comfortable haven for us during an emotional visit, following a family bereavement. The house is charmingly furnished and manages to be both cosy and spacious at the same time, allowing a diverse group the opportunity to gather together easily, but also to have their own space and privacy as required. All of the bedrooms have their own character, 4 of the 5 being King/double and all are lovely, so no fights over who got which one. 3 bathrooms and a downstairs toilet made sure there were no queues for a shower at peak times. The position on the marina is fabulous, with lovely vistas at dawn and dusk in particular. We enjoyed strolling along the coastal path, which runs for miles in both directions, and would particularly recommend the 20 minute walk to The Jamaica Inn for a great atmosphere and good service. We only had one car and were able to park right outside in the same spot, although spaces are not formally allocated. Although the reason for our visit to the area was not for pleasure, it was lovely staying at Oscar’s and I would not hesitate to recommend it or to book it again in the future.

Just loved this house, myself, my husband and our 3 young children stayed here and it was perfect. It came with so many extras which really made it a home from home. The booking was effortless and I would highly recommend it.

Lovely Marina Views

We all had a really nice stay at this house, Really comfortable and clean, with nice views of the marina, only negative we had was the additional charges per person per night, especially as one was only 4 years old. We still had a great visit and were able to host an 80th birthday party there, which everyone enjoyed and the kitchen was great for entertaining.

A self catering property was something that we wanted to try, and in 2016 we created Oscar's at the Marina which sleeps 10. Proving to be extremely popular with visitors from all around the Globe due to its location, stunning views, spacious accommodation and convenience to all local amenities, we also opened Oscar's by the Sea (a short walk away) in Summer 2018. Oscar's by the Sea can accommodate 12 guests.

Why they chose this property

Ample space, stunning views - all the home from home comforts that you need.

What makes this property unique

Victorian period property which was renovated some years ago, yet maintains many of its original Victorian features. Opposite the Marina and convenient for shops, cafes, restaurants and the local train station and Belfast City Airport.
