Nice

Beautiful surroundings. Cabin itself was nice, but not for handicapped ones or people who can't do stairs.

Great log cabin

Cabin was nice with pool table downstairs. Needs to be cleaned better though. With better upkeep it could be 5 stars.

This is a wonderful property loved the stay beautiful location! Our only complaints would be the upstairs bathroom had mold on the walls and ceiling and the hot tub stunk I believe it could have been from the cover.

We loved there was no WIFI. We were able to disconnect and relax. Not too far from town. Quiet, sounds of nature! The home was accommodating.

Just as expected!

The location was convenient to most everything in the area. The cabin is beautiful and full of taxidermy surprises and rustic charm. The grounds were lovely and all together charming. They need more than two chairs outside but we saw this issue in a previous review and brought our own.

Unfortunately, I wouldn't book again or recommend.

The home is lovely, but definitely needs work. As others have said, it needs a deep cleaning. The forest seems to have taken this home over. There are bugs all over in the home. The outside needs a good power washing. The hot tub needs repairs to make it enjoyable. The showers were painful, not enjoyable at all. Loft bed was uncomfortable and pretty sure mold was raining down on us in the loft bathroom. Toilet seat was broken. Very few ammenitites. Our stay just wasn't "comfortable." We did enjoy the pool table, however. The house was in a nice location as well.

Ver poorly maintained

Mold in the bathrooms, water leak while we were there, lights not working in bathroom and bedroom, toilet seats loose, spiders and spider webs everywhere, dusty, windows dirty, rat feces and old popcorn on the foldout couch that was broken. Overall very poorly maintained.

Could use some attention

This place is pretty, plenty of room, and could be really great but needs attention. It was not very clean - lots of cobwebs & spider webs inside, mold growing on shower door, dirt in corners, toilet bowls had pink mold rings. Downstairs bathroom outlets didn’t work, light was burnt out above shower so we had to shower in the dark. Not enough towels were left to use with the hot tub and to shower with. Overall, needs to be cleaned better and could use some maintenance.

Clean but musty smelling

The cabin is beautiful. Just as pictured. The only downfall was the musty smell. No screens on windows to get fresh air. All of my clothing smelled musty when we got home, had to wash even clean clothes a couple of times. The hot tub is grossly musty smelling. Had to throw away swimsuits after soaking in vinegar and washing 4x, could not get the smell out. Pool table needs to be replaced. Other than that, it is beautiful. We spent a lot of time on the back deck relaxing with a wooded view. (only 2 chairs, bring extras if needed)

There's cleaner cabins elsewhere

The negative reviews pretty much nailed it. Because I have construction experience and I'm a tidy person I know these things could *easily* be fixed. It's obvious that's not a priority as these complaints have been made over and over again for at least a year. Very disappointed with the cleanliness. I should have booked the super clean cottage closer to town but I really loved the vibes of this cabin. This cabin has SO much potential and could truly be a gem. It's a shame the owners don't do better. As you open the door you are welcomed by a montage of thirteen dead animals/furs. I don't know if or what cleaning service/supplies are being used here but it's not bleach, a duster or a vacuum. Dust and spiderwebs and shedding furs abound. The kitchen counter has grime and mold in the grout. The dining room table and chairs were perma-sticky. The loft is a suite, where the bathroom ceiling is covered in mold. We did not use this shower because of the mold. The mattress is saggy and squeaky and a little rickety, despite that it was pretty comfortable. The basement bathroom shower head spray was terrible. All tile floors needed a really good scrubbing. We killed 4 millipedes, one was 4 inches! Our daughters said the beds in the basement were pretty comfortable. There's mouse poop on the ledge of the stairs going to the basement. All rooms, especially the basement bedrooms need a vacuum crevice tool taken to the edges of the room because it's filthy. Outside we found a couple gnarl

Many Issues

There were many things wrong with this cabin. When we arrived, we noticed trash all around the outside of the cabin (under the stairs, deck, and in the landscaping). When we went inside, we noticed cobwebs everywhere. Not just up in the rafters, but on the lamps, decorations, and low areas that housekeeping can reach. There were spiders and centipedes everywhere (dead and alive). They also have a mouse problem as we found mouse droppings throughout the cabin. The bathroom ceiling in the loft is covered in mold. The toaster in the kitchen is broken. The satellite tv does not work as the trees are overgrown and block the signal. We didn't even try the hot tub as it smelled like mold when we opened the cover. The property management team did reach out on the first day to see if the cleaning met our expectations. I responded with the issues we had first noticed and received a text back that they would reach out to the local team and update me as soon as possible. That was the last I heard from them.

Loved it!

We stayed there over Thanksgiving week and the house is nice. A little dusty, but we could live with that. The kitchen was well stocked with appliances and serving and dining ware. We liked that there was even laundry detergent pods for our use. The only thing I would recommend is that there be more seating in the living room. We only had 4 people and one of us had to sit on one of the kitchen chairs instead of a comfy spot on the loveseat or chair. Other than that it is in a great location, and close to the attractions and a gorgeous drive to the National Park. We recommend and will be back

Chief Big Log

First the good It’s in a good semi secluded location there are neighboring cabins close by but they were empty during our stay the cabin is beautiful with its giant hewn logs not your typical cookie cuter small log cabin the hot tub was relaxing and the bathrooms were clean The Bad The mattresses were super uncomfortable. The big windows haven’t been cleaned recently and were very dirt inside and out. There’s black mold growing on the ceiling of the up stairs bathroom from the moisture also on the main beam log it appears to be from previous roof leak . Lots of dust and cob webs in the corners and under the bed

Nice cabin in Wears Valley

This was a good choice for our group of 8: 4 adults and 4 kids (8-13). The cabin was beautiful, and the setting was peaceful. The hot tub was a nice feature, as well. The online photos showed old-style tube TVs, but they had since been upgraded to flat screen models. We enjoyed our stay and would consider it again the next time we’re in the area.
