It is located 2.5 km from the town of San Vicente de Alcantara on a cork oak forest recently reforested. It was built in the highest part of the estate, giving you spectacular views from the pool and porches that extend to the Portuguese “Serra de Sao Mamede” and near Marvao.
The house and its surroundings are ideal to unwind from the daily activities and enjoy the peace and calmness of nature. For this reason it is not rented for noisy celebrations like bachelor or similar parties.

Excellent place and gorgeous view!

The place is great! There some minor things missing but the owner promplty got those things to us. The house is very good: all rooms have their own bathroom, all the space was very clean and we had a wonderful week. The only negative thing for which we were not prepared is that the house does not have wifi.

Spectacular house

The house, the view and the pool are breathtaking! we spent 5 spectacular days! Well-equipped house, but more towels, coffee cups, small spoons .... a large pot for 10 people and plastic boxes to store in the fridge. I recommend it and we look forward to returning!!! thank you Luis!

Fantastic little stay

We really enjoyed our stay at Villaveja. Not much to do around that area except for rest and relax and enjoy the view. So much resting especially due to there being no wifi, which bummed me at first but with everyone off their devices it was really peaceful. We walked the back roads for a little exercise. The pool was a little cold in September, the kids weren’t fans but the adults got use to it. My only complaint was the pillows and no plastic cups/bowls.

Fantastic Sunsets

Fabulous house with four large en-suite bedrooms and a large kitchen and indoor sitting area. The exterior is even better with a large covered patio and sitting area which we were thankful for given that temperatures were close to 40 deg. C. To cap it off the infinity pool and views (especially at sunset) were stunning. House is well equipped and had a flatbed gas bbq. There is a long dusty road to the house from San Vicente but don’t let it put you off. Finally Luis couldn’t have been more helpful.

Piscina con vistas al silencio de la sierra

Nos hemos alojado tres parejas y dos niños (10 y 7 años) durante cinco días. La atención ha sido inmejorable, así como las instalaciones de la casa, en especial una piscina de borde infinito. Se encuentra a unos dos kilómetros y medio de San Vicente, camino que se hace con comodidad en coche. Lo único que podríamos solicitar es la mejora de los cuchillos (que apenas cortan!). Lo demás, para no salir de allí.

Una magnífica casa en un entorno incomparable

Se trata de una casa muy bien diseñada y equipada con todas las comodidades, dispone de calefacción, aire acondicionado, chimenea, barbacoa, piscina y todo el menaje necesario para pasar unos días agradables. El entorno es inmejorable con unas preciosas vistas y unos alcornocales preciosos para pasear. También es recomendable visitar los dolmenes de la zona, que no dejan de ser bastante curiosos. Desde la Aceña La Borrega -a 16 km de la CR-, se puede hacer una ruta circular de unos 8 km viendo varios de ellos.En definitiva, un alojamiento rural muy recomendable, al que volveremos cuando podamos, preferiblemente cuando podamos usar esa bonita piscina. Solo hemos recomendado al dueño tener almohadas algo mas "tiesas", ya que todos coincidimos en que las que había eran bastante flojas, pero me imagino que es una cuestión de costumbre.
