About this property

Experience log cabin living at its finest in this luxurious Tahoe home with beautiful woodland views. On the upper level, you'll find a primary suite with a king bed and a bathroom with jetted tub and walk-in shower. Also on this level is a guest room with a queen bed and a bathroom with shower. The impressive great room located on this level features a gourmet granite kitchen, a vaulted living room & dining area with expansive windows and knotty pine ceilings that create a truly Tahoe feel with the luxury of custom finishes and decorator touches throughout.

The lower level offers a second primary suite with king bed and a half bath. The fourth bedroom has a double over queen bunk bed, a sleeper sofa and full bath. The laundry, mud room area and access to an oversized two car garage are located on the lower level.

This property offers access to the Northstar Recreation Center. ($10 per person/per day). The Recreation Center offers several outdoor Jacuzzi’s, a well-equipped expansive workout room, heated adult lap pool in the winter, a game room with pool tables, air hockey, video games and much more. In the summer, guests will also enjoy the Junior Olympic size swimming pool, kiddie pool, lap pool, kid’s camp, play area and the Snack Shack, pickleball & tennis.

Summer activities include a champion 18-hole golf course and golf pro, tennis courts, tennis pro available for lessons, rolling skating rink, mountain bike trails including chair lift to take you to the top and equestrian center with great trails for horseback riding.

Winter activities at Northstar Resort include the new Lookout Mountain offering acres of new terrain for skiers and snowboarders including a Terrain Park and Super Pipe. There is a cross-country center, snow tubing park, ice skating rink, restaurants, bars, retail shops, equipment rental shops and licensed daycare.

Our Guests are only minutes away for North Lake Tahoe where you can go boating, jet skiing, kayaking, paddle boarding, parasailing, mountain biking, hiking, shopping, fishing, sightseeing or just enjoy relaxing at the Lake watching the kids skip rocks.

Lake Tahoe and its beautiful beaches are just a 10 minute drive. North Shore Casinos are 20 minutes away and offer gambling, dining and music.

Holiday Celebration

Great Family Home

This was our second time booking this property and our family ages 14-70 really enjoyed our stay which was a 50th wedding anniversary trip for my parents. The home is beautiful and well maintained and provides all the comforts of home. We look forward to another return trip in the future.

Summer Week in Tahoe

The house was lovely, clean, and well located. The Northstar neighborhood offers a lot of great services, including a free, on demand shuttle and walking trails up to the village area. Only complaints were the beds. All of the adults had mostly sleepless nights from poor quality mattresses and pillows. Would have been five stars, otherwise.

Northstar house rental

this property is just as nice as depicted in the photos! Sherri at VACAY (management company) was very helpful with my multitude of questions. The location to Northstar ski resort can't be beat and the guest pass for the recreation center is a great perk.

I was so impressed by this property, it far surpassed the pictures and anything we could have imagined!! The neighbor is so to Northstar skiing, grocery and north shore. Would love to book again!

Great home away from home

Great size for seven of us. A great master bedroom with amazing shower! Second bedroom with Queen size bed upstairs with access to full bath. Bunk beds downstairs with a hide-a-bed + a second guest suite with half bath all in a great area with easy access to golf course, village or only a few minutes to Kings Beach or Truckee. We will be renting this property again.

Perfect Northstar location

Welcoming, stylish, spacious, comfortable, private … are only a few things to describe this wonderful home. Very well stocked. Plush living room sofas to relax. Four real bedrooms - 2 car garage with table tennis. Landscaped back hill. Easy shuttle drives to the village. The only item the toddlers missed was a bathtub. A soaking tub was the only one available. But they survived! Would rent this property property again - summer or winter.

North Lake Tahoe Family Vacay

The location is beautiful and very convenient to everything you want to do - golf, the Lake, downtown Truckee, river rafting, hiking. The property is on a cul-de-sac, so it’s very private with lots of space and a nice hiking trail just behind the house. The house is beautiful with plenty of space for a large group. The family room is comfortable and big. We had a great time, the only negative was the floors were dusty and not so clean and the carpet needed vacuuming. We tried using the vacuum but it had almost no suction and didn’t work. Communication with the host was very good. The kitchen was fully stocked with everything needed if you want to cook. Overall, a great place and would definitely recommend it.

Grand Cabin in the Forest.

This is one of those special rental homes where the description and pictures in the listing under-represent the quality of the actual property itself! Our family greatly enjoyed the NorthStar/Tahoe lifestyle in large part due to this "Luxury Tree Lodge." This multi-level cabin is in a cul-de-sac, so it is very quiet and secluded. The house is quite spacious and easily accommodated our family of 7 adults and 2 kids. The furnishings are top-notch and comfy, and the decor unique. The kitchen was well-appointed with fully-functioning appliances and cookware, and we were able to expertly prepare/serve all our meals "in-house" with great satisfaction and ease. There is ample lighting throughout the home, and ceiling fans are strategically placed throughout the home to move warm air during the summer months (we rented in July). A large two-car garage housed our two suv-s while a 3rd car parked in the driveway. There is a forested hill immediately behind the house that leads to a hiking/biking trail that will take you directly into the N-Star Village at the top of the hill. Sheri and Kristi promptly answered the couple of questions we had and made us feel very welcome during our entire stay. All in all, this is a superb vaca home and invites repeat stays - a five-star property for sure and highly recommended!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We loved our stay at the Luxury Tree Lodge. We were a group of three adults, three teenagers and two younger children. The house was spacious enough for us by far, and laid out well, with two bedrooms upstairs and two downstairs. The garage had tall thresholds so we could pull our suv in even with the roof box on, which was nice. Sheri at Vacay was super responsive and helpful. The only issue worth noting, and I believe it's noted in the property description, is that a two-wheel drive car wouldn't be able to make it up the driveway when there's snow or ice on the ground. But then you likely wouldn't be driving a 2wd in those conditions anyway, so probably not a big deal. Overall we had a great stay. I'd rent again.

I was nervous it would be too small from the pictures but was pleasantly surprised to see how large, spacious and cozy this home was (we very comfortably fit 8 people) The free shuttle to Northstar made getting to and from the Mountain a stress free breeze and we spent almost all of our free time at the house because we enjoyed it so much. Highly recommend booking for your next vacation, we absolutely will be back and appreciated how easy it was to work with the management company.
