This oceanfront home in Florence is the perfect choice for your next Oregon Coast getaway with family or friends. With a Ping-Pong and mini-pool table, and a large deck with sweeping ocean views, this home will give you a peaceful and enjoyable vacation.

This rental is located right on a quiet stretch of beach less than five miles north of downtown Florence, providing guests with ease and convenience. And it's one of two homes on this stretch of Kiwanda Street, so you'll be blessed with a lovely semi-private setting. To reach the sand, just head down the deck stairs to the beach!

The interior of this home is cozy, decorated in tasteful kitsch with wicker and floral print furnishings and window treatments. Sink into the sofa and catch a cable show or two on the flatscreen TV, or make a selection from the DVD library. And while you're at it, stay in touch with friends at home with free WiFi access.

When it's mealtime, the chefs in your group can get to work in the fully equipped kitchen. With tons of counter space, standard appliances, and a center work island that serves as a breakfast bar for three, meal prep and cleanup are made easy. Enjoy your meal together at the large dining table or savor a delicious barbecue dinner on the deck, which offers a gas grill, sea-salt-scented air, and stunning dune and ocean views - as well as easy access to the sands thanks to the stairs.

This home offers other bonuses, which will give you plenty of reasons to stick close to home. When the weather's nice, take the two available bikes out for a spin. Or if it's a day to stay inside, enjoy an impromptu Ping-Pong game in the garage.

When it's time for sleep, this three-bedroom (plus a loft), three-and-a-half-bath home accommodates up to nine guests. The first master bedroom boasts a king-size bed, an en suite bath with a pink soaking tub, and nice views. The second master bedroom also has a king-size bed, an en suite bath, and views. The third bedroom features two twin bunk beds and a mini-pool table, as well as its own en suite bath. All three bedrooms are upstairs, and the loft offers a day bed and serves as the pass-through to two of the bedrooms. The loft has an oceanfront balcony, perfect for lounging any time of day. There's a half-bath for freshening up, and the in-house washer/dryer allow you all to pack light.

Take a stroll to the sand and water and do some beachcombing, snap some photos, or just revel in the scenery. Stay in and choose some games to play, then treat yourself to a meal out in Florence after you've browsed the many shops. You might like to walk just up the road and have a meal at Driftwood Shores, or hop in the car and head to one of the two golf courses, check out the casino, or catch a show at the events center.

When you want to venture out farther, head to Heceta Head and tour the lighthouse for lovely views from the top. Hike the Hobbit Trail and spend some time at Darlingtonia State Natural Site. And be sure to check out the Sea Lion Caves.

Florence is a great destination any time of year, and your visit will be enhanced when you stay at this cozy and quaint beach house. Book it today, and get ready for a fun and relaxing Oregon Coast vacation.

Rascal's beach house

The location is great and beach trail was very nice. The house is a bit older with some dated decor, but lots of room for families and a great kitchen for group cooking. Very spacious bedrooms and good privacy.

Incredible view!

This home has an incredible view and we loved the private trail to access the beach. Roomy master bedrooms, big kitchen and bunk beds/ping pong in the garage worked perfect to have a couple families stay together. Brand new porch and stairs to the beach as well. We had a great time and would stay here again!

Rascals Retreat Is Wonderful!

We loved the space, the view, and the access to the beach! Plenty of parking for our traveling guests vehicles, wonderful big kitchen with everything we needed. The space was very clean and we enjoyed looking at the antiques and memorabilia in the decor. Great for families and couples- view from bedrooms is stunning!

Wonderful time

Traveling through Oregon north to south. Very nice home. Could not get TV to work but we weren’t here for TV anyway! As others said, deck is older but looks like boards are being replaced. It was not an issue for is at all. View is beautiful. Property clean and well kept. Would definitely recommend.

Positive comments: excellent view from extensive deck; clean; adequate kitchen supplies. Negative comments: door code didn’t work upon arrival-we have this same keyless entry at home, had to call and get through phone tree to a person who provided a work-around to get in. Then the manager called and said other people have issue getting in (so why not fix this??). On the 2nd day the smoke alarm in bedroom chirping-we reported this multiple times via text and phone calls and were told a report was created and there is nothing else they could do. No one ever called. Although we didn’t want to do this due to health issues, we had to bring up a ladder from the garage and remove the smoke alarm, then returned it before we checked out. Other: broken light fixture on upper outside deck and the sliding door to the upper deck is really hard to open. Unlike some short-term rentals, there is no foil, plastic wrap, storage bags, laundry detergent. FYI-coffee maker is 12 cup drip. Photos accurately represent the outdated decor. Although we will be visiting family in this town again, we will never stay here.

Beautiful view, property needs up keep.

The view is gorgeous. The walk to the beach was gorgeous. We loved how spacious the house was. It has plenty of beds and 3 bathrooms. The kitchen is big. The appliances are new. However, lots of areas need attention. The deck is in disrepair. Some boards have been fixed, but there are still broken steps and loose railings. The tub is slippery and doesn’t have a mat in it. We didn’t use the hot tub because it smelled bad. There is a strong chlorine smell on the first floor due to the hot tub. Some of the blinds don’t work or are falling apart. Overall, we liked the house. The location was amazing. It just needs some upkeep and updating.

Best Home with a View of the Beach and more

Very welcoming home with all the amenities needed for a super time. Walk down to the beach was treacherous for us 60-year-olds but only 150 yds down the road and you have another entrance (we used this one every morning). Wi-Fi was hit and miss for 8 people but nonetheless, we did have Wi-Fi. Million-dollar view of the beach all day was the crown jewel for us. Sitting at the dinner table and looking out at the beach was jaw dropping. Rooms were just right but the bunk beds are for teenagers and not adults. Yet, our older grandkids didn't mind the beds...they had privacy and that was enough. Speaking of grandkids, our GK's had plenty to do. Sand surfing, canoeing, quad riding, etc. They absolutely loved the experience. Bring your own kitchen, though. My wife made our kitchen "to go" and that was the best idea of the year. We literally filled the truck with food, drinks, kitchen ware, and we stopped for ice each day (the fridge makes plenty of ice but not enough for another medium sized cooler). There were enough pots, pans and dishware but my wife likes her stuff. We even brought our own "George Foreman" to cook with. If you forgot anything, a 10-minute drive to town for a Freddy visit would most likely help one out. There's a Safeway and one other store I can't remember the name of. Plenty of parking for three vehicles (can't get a boat in the tight road up to the house). Garage does have a ping pong table but bring your own paddles (we bought ours at Fred Meyer's). There are also two decent bikes (his and hers, if there's such a thing). Finally, the home was very welcoming. After the first day of getting use to where things were, it was quickly feeling like our own home. The trinkets and books were a plus. Home is set to welcome all!

Oh my!

First let me say I have never had the need to post a negative review on any site before. The location and size of this house is very good, however there are a number of things that are in disrepair and dangerous. Namely the deck, deck rail and stairs to the beach are in need of a serious overhaul. After contacting the company with a text & video of the condition of the deck (boards seriously loose, decking ready to collapse) they sent a very nice maintenance person to put caution tape up, removing our access to the deck and stairs to the beach. For the amount of money they receive for this “premier host” site, the condition of outdoor amenities was also unacceptable. Before our access was removed, we checked out the deck furniture, much of which was rickety and on the verge of breaking. This property needs attention not only to correct dangerous structures but the interior could use some TLC (with the exception of the lovely, new couches). Given that what we believed we were getting, per the site/pictures, and what we actually received was very different a discounted rate would have been appropriate.

Perfect home and location for us!

We used Rascals Oceanfront Retreat for our destination wedding and it was perfect!! We had hoped for beach, then deck, but settled to have the nuptials inside the house in front of the stained glass whale and it could not have turned out better! Comments from previous guests about the décor in the home are somewhat valid, however, this is a personal choice and nothing was terrible. The deck and stairs to the beach are not the sturdiest, and though it appears they should be replaced or have some serious upkeep, they were open and we could walk around with no issues. Things I hoped were already in the house: I wished there had been a hair dryer in each bathroom, or at least one for the whole house as when you have a few people getting ready to go out, we ended up purchasing one and passing it around for use. Not a big issue, but would have rather saved the money. A starter amount of coffee. Since we arrived to Oregon early, we had time to do some shopping, but having a little coffee to start the days is helpful. Plastic wrap, aluminum foil, plastic bags, etc. Just a few more items in the kitchen would have been nice. The home was very clean, and the kitchen had new appliances and that was great!! The beds, bedding, pillows, etc were all very comfortable and plenty of lounging area to sit and visit with family and friends indoors and outside (if the winds die down). We did not use the hot tub, but it appeared to be clean, but not terribly picturesque inside the garage. Overall, we would totally recommend this if you are looking for a large comfy house right on the beach, with a great kitchen, easy access to the coast and towns, and plenty of time to enjoy yourself!

Location is Great but House is Very Dated

Can't beat the beauty of the location! The views of Heceta Beach are fantastic. The location about 15 minutes from Old Town Florence is also very good. But the house is very worn and dated. It's comfortable, but don't expect any modern updates and expect low first impression since it looks like a dump when you drive up. Even the outdoor furniture and the deck, which are huge selling points for the house, are falling apart. Even just fixing up the deck and providing decent furniture that is comfortable to sit on to watch their amazing view would be a huge improvement. If the house was not on the beach, I wouldn't recommend it. But if you come in with low expectations for the house, it is a nice place to be.

Great Location! Worn-out House

Overall, you cannot beat the location. The beach location was amazing! House was definitely dated and run-down. If you are considering renting this house, just fully understand the trade offs. Old worn down house, cleaned adequately, great location on the beach.

Relaxing, Coastal Vibe Home

The love in this home shines through every room. Decor is back in the 80's, however when your on vacation it's ok to go back in time and enjoy life's special moments. Plenty of rooms and beds for family and friends to get together, unwind, cook and do all of these with a view from every window. Awesome inside hot tub for 2 people and they had plenty of towels in every bathroom for your needs! Definitely will be back!!

Quaint with great location

Enjoyed a nice few days at Rascals with amazing beach access. House is tired and in need of some updating, but is well appointed and has nice comfortable beds. The hobbit trail down to the beach makes for a fun walk. Back deck is spacious with a fantastic view of the coast but needs some safety updates. Would be very cautious staying with young kids. Decor is very grandparents house vibes with fun antiques. House would benefit from some updates but beach view makes it worth it. Be on the lookout for the Golden Eagle that perches on neighbor’s house. It was there frequently and made some amazing flights down over the beach. Was wild to see it so close!

Great location- but needs updates and better kitchen supplies.

The location is fantastic and views are spectacular. Glorious sunset views from multiple rooms in the house. While the house is definitely in need of some updating, much more than what the pictures present, we found it difficult to cook with what was supplied. The bbq is leaking oil, there aren’t enough pots or pans, or bowls or sharp knives. There were no wine glasses. In addition, the hot tub was in the garage and really unpleasant. We didn’t go in near it. If you can put up with a poor equipped kitchen, and want direct beach access and incredible views, this is a great place!
