About this property

An elegant Georgian house in an historic period terrace.

Built in the early 19th century the house constitutes part of one of Falmouth's finest period residences and is situated just a few minutes level walk from the centre of town with all it's shops, bars, restaurants and other attractions. The beaches are also just a few minutes walk away. Set over 2 floors this deceptively large accommodation has been decorated in a contemporary style but retains all of its original period details. There are 3 large double bedrooms (all with sinks in the room), 2 bathrooms, a large lounge with fireplace, dining room and well equipped kitchen. Outside there is a well stocked garden with plenty of outdoor furniture - perfect for sitting out on a sunny day or evening. There is unrestricted parking on the street outside the property, although this can be limited at certain times of the day.

Should you need to contact us we are available via telephone or email. Our housekeeper is in the area if you have any minor issues during your stay. Key collection is via a Keysafe box at the entrance.

Falmouth is abundant with good restaurants, bars and pubs. There are also many local attractions including the National Maritime Museum. There are boat trips to numerous destinations from the main pier and the local beaches are extremely popular.

There is a frequent local bus service and Falmouth Town and Falmouth Docks railway stations are both just 3-4 minutes walk away. There is no need for a car when you are staying in town and there are many walks including the South west coast path just a few minutes stroll away. Further afield there are all the well known attractions that Cornwall has to offer.

Amazing house in a great location

This is such a great property and way bigger than it looks! The house is really well set up, nicely furnished and has everything you could want for a stay. We visit Cornwall and Falmouth in particular pretty regularly and this has been one of our best stays. Location is great so you can walk into Falmouth and easy access to get out by car. Paul and Emma were great hosts, even helping us within 10 minutes when we managed to lock ourselves out! Would definitely return in the future, many thanks for having us.

Great for a young family

Having arrived in Falmouth we found and accessed the property easily. Whilst a little busy at times we never struggled to park on the quiet street outside and this made it simple to unload the bags and the kids. The property has an extremely well equipped kitchen and garden and ample space for relaxing in the living room or garden. Whilst the building is old and has a little history, the house was fitted to a high standard with modern conveniences and clean carpets, linens etc. There was nothing we needed throughout the week, albeit when a small problem did arise, Paul was instantly contactable and resolved the problem within minutes. We’d be thrilled to stay again sometime if we were ever back in the area. Thanks Paul and Emma for a great week in a lovely house!

Fabulous Falmouth!

The property is wonderful - spacious, clean and very comfortable. A 3 minute walk to town with all its very many amenities - with teenagers on holiday with us, Bar Terrace is in a terrific location for them to come and go independently. We had some fabulous meals out in town and our highlight was the St. Mawes ferry which we used extensively from the harbour 5 minutes walk away. We needed to contact Paul and Emma over something minor and they were most helpful and responsive. All in all, would highly recommend!
