Very nice rooms, Close to the beach. Kitchen outdated and poorly equiped.

We had a nice time but the kitchen is very bad. No dishwasher, everything was worn or broken. we ended up ordering or going out to diner mostly. The windows on all floors did not properly close. The apartment is at walking distance to the beach which was great. The rooms is very big and nice, and the 3 bathrooms are very comfortable.

Great accommodation

Spacious, light and clean 2 floor accommodation right by the sea. NEST controlled heating so it was always cosy. Large tv for the evenings. Very comfortable bed in the main bedroom but very high and would be difficult to get in and out of if you’re not that mobile. The main road was a bit noisy at night, but I am a light sleeper. Pub across the road (Bo Peep) served good food. Shop just around the corner. Great location for visiting Hastings, Eastbourne, Brighton and Rye. Would stay here again.

St Leonards revisited.

The property was lovely and well furnished in an excellent position. However the kitchen wasn't as clean as it could be, tiles above the counter were dirty as were the front of some of the cupboards. The trays in the oven were full of crumbs and dirty. Only one tea towel was not enough. A new wedge for the kitchen door is needed as it didn't work. One towel per person was insufficient I would have brought extra if I had known. Bedrooms and beds very comfortable but difficult to open any windows apart from the French windows, to get a breeze, it was very hot during our stay. Outside space lovely with terrific views. Parking was tricky and we had to pay for 4 hours at one point and then move the car. It would have been nice to have a welcome pack of information to greet us, the first time I have ever stayed anywhere where this wasn't provided, not sure if this was a COVID thing but there are ways that this could be achieved. Excellent bus service and stops right outside the flat to go to Bexhill or Hastings old town.

Spacious accommodation

Slightly tired appearance, some cracked floor tiles, not well stocked kitchen with regard to utensils/crockery, but plenty of cupboard space. Fridge door caught on freezer door when opening. Cold water tap handle in bathroom didn’t turn off easily. One bedroom window didn’t close properly,.

Our home away from home for five and a half weeks!

We booked this property for 9 weeks originally, but Covid-19 got in the way, so we ended up having to cancel the first 4 weeks, but that all went smoothly with refunds within a couple days of notice, since we were more than two weeks in advance of our arrival date. The duplex apartment ended up being better than we had hoped, tall ceilings, lovely views of the sea and bowling green just outside our windows. The bed in the master bedroom was a bit high for me, but I managed to jump into bed. Over the course of our time we had extended family visit us on the weekends, and then the last week a family of 5 came for a couple days and we managed to bed everybody! It was cozy, but the cleaning crew left of us plenty of bedding for everyone. The cleaning crew cleaned once a week once we got past quarantine, and due to the quarantine they even provided us with a few groceries to get us started. The location was perfect for parking except when the weather was glorious, as then the whole world showed up on the beach hoping for a free parking space, but it was only once we had to part a distance away. Basically, we really enjoyed ourselves and will definitely consider the duplex apartment again if we decide to spend time in St. Leonards-on-Sea again one summer. Thanks again, David and crew!

Saint Leonard’s getaway

Lovely spacious property only 200 meters from the sea. Large rooms with lots of natural light, unique artwork and lovely antique furniture which was stylish and very comfortable (sofa and beds). An added bonus was the small garden overlooking the park. We enjoyed walking along the promenades to Hastings and Bexhill and shops are nearby. David was a very helpful host who answered our questions quickly and fixed any issue that popped up. Highly recommend for a relaxing break.
