Crewsnest is a spacious 5 bedroom house in the heart of Rock. A short walk to the sailing school, St Enodoc Golf Club, tennis court, Rock Beach, ferry to Padstow, bars and restaurants. Moments from local shops: artisan bakery, deli, butcher, fish shop and convenience store. A short drive to wonderful beaches including Daymer Bay and Polzeath.

Walk into the welcoming hallway leading to a well-appointed kitchen/diner with all the mod cons including large Smeg fridge, ceramic hob and oven. The large bright double reception room with retro window-seat, multi-channel TV and stylish décor throughout is a lovely space to relax . On this floor you'll also find a cloakroom & laundry area off the patio with informal shower ideal for sandy feet & wetsuits.

On the 1st floor you'll find the master bedroom with Queen size bed & quality oak furniture. Also there is a twin-bedroom with two single beds and a bunk bedroom. The family bathroom includes a luxurious free-standing bath and separate shower.

On the 2nd floor there's a double bedroom and a twin bedroom with two single beds. A shower room can also be found on this floor.

To the rear of the property there's a patio with a table & chairs for alfresco dining and a lawned area with a playhouse perfect for children and dogs, being fully enclosed.

There's private parking for up to 3 cars at the property.

We found the property a brilliant base for our family needs and our dog. The property is good condition, it could with an outside light so it would be possible to stay in the garden later in the evening. Also the picture of the garden show green grass either side but one side was rubble and overgrown which is not great when you have a dog. There also 2 light nobs missing in 2 of the bedrooms and the double room on top floor you couldn't shut door properly as it difficult to get back open. Regardless of the above issues, we as family did enjoy our stay and we use the house again.

The Crews Nest, December 2022

After booking this house for a short winter break in December 2022 we really enjoyed our stay. Comm’s prior to our visit we’re clear and prompt with a small welcome pack with all the information you need for your arrival. Located in Rock, it’s. 15 minute walk from the sea front and has everything you need on its door step. The bakery is amazing!! 30 seconds down the road, Spar Shop and Chip Shop just around the corner with some other small local stores. We also attended the Bluntrock Brewery, an alternative option, but for craft beer lovers, or just beer lovers or anyone who fancy’s a drink it had a very welcoming atmosphere. Sea Taxi available to whip you across to Padstow which again makes the stay a little different. The house was exactly as advertised and fitted our needs perfectly. It was clean and tidy, warm and spacious. We had 6 adults with a 4 year old, 2x 1 year olds and a 6 month old and we never felt on top of each other as the bedrooms are spread over two floors with a large well finished bathroom on the first floor and a small toilet and shower on the second floor. There is also a WC under the stairs. Ample parking for our three cars as well. Left some property at the address, quick message with owners and it’s arranged to be posted home. Loved our stay, will book again in future. Thank you for a lovely stay! Oli

New Year's Break

A lovely property in a super location. Crews Nest had everything we needed for our New Year's break for our party of 8. ( 4 adults, 2 teens and 1 child.) There was lots of space within the property and it provided all the equipment which we could need to ensure our stay was a comfortable one. The Padstow /Rock ferry is with in walking distance, and there is a butchers, bakery, delicatessen and spar shop right on the door step.

Crewsnest was a lovely spot for a fabulous family holiday. Lovely choice of rooms, well appointed and great location - especially if you’ve forgotten any groceries!

Spacious and well connected

Crewsnest is a spacious property that had lots of room for all 8 of us (4 adults, 2 teens and 2 children). It is brilliantly located opposite the butchers, coffee shop, Spar and fish & chip shop in Rock and has plenty of parking space too. The walk to Rock Beach and the Rock/Padstow ferry can be done in about 20/25 mins or is a 5min drive. Sally is the relatively new owner of the house and was super responsive to any questions I had before our holiday and also while we were there. We also had the pleasure of meeting her when she dropped by to ensure the replacement of a dryer happened and to look at the freezer at the property for us. I would say that some of the decor and the garden needs a little attention but I know that Sally’s plans for getting this done prior to our arrival were scuppered because of lockdown. We were very fortunate to have a week of great weather so spent our time on the beach, surfing, cycling the Camel Trail, visiting St Michael’s Mount, Zennor and Land’s End, all from this excellently-located base. Sally is a lovely host and we would very much like to stay at Crewsnest again.

Great place to stay

Just returned from a week at Crewsnest in Rock, this house didn't disappoint! It is everything it says on the website and it's location is perfect. There were 9 of us (8 adults/1child) and the house was just perfect for our family get together

Large, well appointed house, in a fantastic location close to Rock and in wonderful part of North Cornwall. The owner came to our rescue after we had been let down with another booking on another website on arrival - brilliantly responsive and helpful, and we would very much look forward to returning as our first choice next time !
