Welcome to the heart of Ocean View, DE - “the quiet resort”! This beautiful home is less than 2 miles from Bethany Beach, 13 miles from Rehoboth Beach and 14 miles from Ocean City, MD. Your next vacation or beach getaway home is fully furnished with central HVAC, 4 bedrooms, 1.5 bathrooms, and an outside shower! After a day at the beach or outdoors, relax in the comfort of the main living room while watching tv, reading a book, playing board games, or connect to WIFI to FaceTime loved ones. In the meantime, the kids can enjoy their own private hangout area. The full kitchen has an electric stove, dishwasher, refrigerator, and a dinning room set. The laundry room has a washer, dryer, and laundry sink. The property is just under an acre with plenty of room for families to spend quality time outside on the back porch, front patio, or volleyball court. In the evenings, enjoy a fire pit while listening to music or gazing at the stars. You are minutes away from exploring all of the best attractions (Ecological James farm is a half mile away, John West park is a block away). Get the family active and go for a walk, run, bike ride to the beach, or pack the car and visit the State park beaches. A rainy day won’t stop your fun, you can head northbound to Dewey or Rehoboth and enjoy local or fine dining and Tanger outlets. Or for more entertainment, head southbound to Fenwick Island, DE then Ocean City, MD.

Fun stay near the beach!

This was a perfect place to stay for a big group. The backyard is as pictured and well equipped. Owners were easy to communicate with and gave great local recommendations. The only downside (we were warned at check-in) was an unstable/weak wifi so may not be ideal for remote workers.

Fantastic property

Friendly and helpful owners, the house is clean, and the property is great for our crew. It's in a great area, close to many of the local beaches. We stay at this house every year and absolutely love it.

Perfect

Wonderful place, perfect for all of us! Quiet and away from all the hustle of Bethany beach but close enough to only be a few minutes (5) to the beach. Highly recommended for the family, they had everything you need.

Quiet relaxing place

Very quiet and relaxing! Love that it is so close to all the beaches. We definitely enjoyed our stay and appreciate you opening your home for others to be able to enjoy a nice relaxing vacation! The kids had a blast in the huge back yard. Will definitely keep your home in mind for next years vacation <3

40 Woodland Ave is Perfect for young children!

Nine of us - 5 adults & 4 children - loved staying at this home again this year. It's clean, well-appointed and perfect for the kids to play in the back yard - sand pit with trucks, shovels, etc. The huge yard is great for water play, running around, tee ball, frisbee, etc. There are lots of toys on site. Love the back porch - perfect for morning coffee while kids play in yard and evening s'mores in nearby firepit & sparklers! Ricky is amazing - always responding quickly to any need that pops up. He's the best! We highly recommend 40 Woodland Ave for your family gathering! Susan Truss

Good for families bringing a boat and/or with smaller children

The host was very responsive to questions we had before our stay. The house was clean and had good outdoor space. We were able to park 3 cars plus a boat trailer in the driveway. There were a few minor maintenance issues that should be looked at (e.g., a leaky coffee maker, cabinets that don't fully close, no butter knives or small cups), but nothing unmanageable. We had originally planned on having 10 people stay (4 adults, 5 teens, 1 child) but only 8 ended up coming. If everyone had come, the sleeping situation would have been too tight. If 10 people are coming, it would be better for families with smaller children who can share the full-size beds. It was a good location (close to trails, a marina, 2 miles from Bethany Beach boardwalk) and worked well for us - we would definitely consider renting it again.

Incredibly friendly and helpful owners. This was our second vacation staying here and we will definitely book again. It's a great location, it's clean and it suits our needs perfectly. I couldn't recommend them enough.

More than we expected

Ricky was very helpful from the beginning when we decided to stay at his home. Communication was clear and response time was good. When we made it to the home Ricky met us there and answered all our questions. Gave us some helpful info for restaurants and where to get fresh crabs. The house was absolutely wonderful! Our group was 4 adults and 4 teenagers. Still plenty of room and space to be comfortable. The beach was not close but also not a long drive at all. We didn't want to be close to the boardwalk/beach craziness. So the location of the house was perfect. The only "complaint" would be the wifi wasn't very good. But that's not even a real complaint. Just took it as a sign that we didn't need to get stuck on electronics! Would definitely recommend this home to anyone looking for a comfy home away from home!

Great Spot for families with young children

We were 6 adults & 4 children ages almost 2 to 7 and had a super week here. Loved the yard, volleyball court, fire pit & back porch. The extra living room made a great playroom. Short ride to the Bethany Beach! Landlord is so helpful and responsive! Minor drawbacks: Coffee pot leaks, 2 bedrooms don't have closets (more hooks on back of door and clothes trees would be helpful). Front door lock is a bit confusing. But overall, it's great! You'll love it!

Terrific property. Our kids loved the huge yard (with homegrown tomatoes and grapes). Very short drive to the beach, restaurants, and all attractions. The owner was incredibly responsive and helpful. Thank you for opening your home to us. We hope to be back.

Great house, centrally located

We were absolutely thrilled with the house. It was exactly as described, plus there were some upgrades made from the time we booked. It was clean, the owners were friendly and accommodating, and it was great for the kids. They genuinely enjoyed the big back yard and the volleyball court. The location is in a quiet, friendly neighborhood which is right in the middle of all the places we like to visit. (We enjoy everywhere from Rehoboth to Assateaque). Would definitely recommend and hope to stay again next year.

Clean and comfortable

My family and I had a very nice, relaxing week at the property. The location is great. We could walk or bike to the park/playground, the ice cream shop, the coffee shop... Lots of other places are just a quick drive away. We were blessed with nice weather and were able to really enjoy the backyard too, with morning coffee on the deck, outdoor games, and a movie night. Would definitely stay again.

Ocean View Beach House

Everything was as described in the listing. It was very easy check in and we were made aware ahead of time what we needed for our stay. The owners were polite, courteous and helpful. It was a good location when traveling to all the local beaches and centrally located for a variety of restaurants and water parks.

Great location, great backyard, perfect for short or long stay!

House has all the essentials and is location in a great part of ocean view. It is walking distance to a very nice park that is good for kids of all ages. We loved the backyard with outdoor shower, volley bar court and lots of room for sitting outside and eating. Owner was very responsive and very nice. This is a good place for families!
