About this property

Barn End at Woodcock Farm - cosy and stylish flat on a farm near Bath

Barn End offers high quality luxury with every home comfort, set within a traditional Cotswolds barn. Woodcock Farm occupies 36 acres on the Cotswold Way with sheep, pigs, horses, chickens and ducks. Within the farmland is an Iron Age hill fort that was subsequently occupied by the Romans and Anglo Saxons; so history is literally on the doorstep.
Located just 5 mins from J18 of M4 set in quiet, rolling countryside close to Bath, Bristol, Tetbury, Westonbirt, Chipping Sodbury & Cirencester.
Barn End has recently undergone a full renovation and how offers a super fully fitted kitchen which includes a dishwasher, microwave, Nespresso, fridge with freezer compartment and all cooking equipment.
The bathroom is one of the highlights of Barn End, with a fabulous Nebbia bath, which has been moulded around the human body for the ultimate feeling of comfort. Take your G&T and relax....
The spacious shower offers both a rain and hand held shower head. The decor is stylish with a wall length mirror, attractive tiling to both walls and floor.
The king-size double bed has a top quality memory foam mattress to ensure a really good night's sleep. Top quality linens just add to the feeling of luxury.
Freeview TV and free wifi are provided, (but please remember we are in the country so the speeds may not be as you are used to!). The cosy sitting area looks out over the gardens through large glazed doors (with voile curtains for privacy). A woodburner adds the final touch to this beautiful space.
Locally there is a wide selection of beautiful villages and towns which offer interesting independent shops, National Trust properties, great pubs and restaurants and wonderful walking. There are plenty of places of interest for all the family to visit within an easy drive - Bristol Zoo, Cotswold Water Park, Adam Henson's (BBC Countryfile presenter) farm, Longleat, Bath Roman Baths, Malmesbury Abbey and Westonbirt Arboretum to name a few. We'd be happy to help you with ideas for days out.
The Farm sits on an old Anglo-Saxon Hill Fort which was also used by the Romans. The Cotswold Way crosses the land and there are many really scenic walks all around. We can lend you maps and recommend pubs and stops along the way.
There is an extensive array of wildlife on the farm including hares, deer, badgers, hedgehogs, skylarks, wrens, and red kites.
The whole surroundings are a haven of tranquility and beautiful nature, with spectacular views from the escarpment across the Severn Valley to Wales.

A beautiful place to stay
Barn End is a beautiful place to stay. Clean, great facilities, and a really cozy place to come back to while out exploring this lovely part of England. The breakfast box was handy and very tasty. All in all, its a 5 star venue at a very reasonable price!

Like a boutique hotel
We stayed in Barn End for a long weekend and were so pleased that we had chosen this place to stay. The furnishings were immaculate and the bedroom and bathroom particularly felt as if we were staying in a boutique hotel. The whole place was so tastefully decorated. We found that everything had been thought of. The welcome from the owner was perfect - friendly and engaging - but we also appreciated being left to just enjoy the place for ourselves after that. We would thoroughly recommend this lovely place to stay.
