We really enjoyed our stay at the retreat. It is located in a wonderful peaceful location at the top of a hill. It is surrounded by nature and woodlands with lots of walking trails, some of which lead to wonderful views. There was lots of different wildlife around including many different birds and deer.
Carol and Simon (the owners) who live in the attached property were very friendly and helpful, providing useful local information.
The retreat itself has large bedrooms with plenty of space. The kitchen was well equipped and the conservatory was excellent for sitting in at the end of the day. Outside there is lots of space and seating areas.
In the local areas there is lots to do on top of the local walks from the retreat.
Thanks Carol and Simon for a lovely stay.
A lovely cozy cottage on the top of one of the mountains, surrounded by woodland which made it so peaceful and relaxing - some great nature watching locations. Beautifully appointed rooms, with everything you could possibly need provided. Superb conservatory where we sat and soaked up the warmth - even on an overcast day. Views were stunning. One thing to bear in mind when staying here is the road up to the cottage - it is steep and winding as it has to get to the top of the mountain - to be taken carefully and slowly but it adds to the adventure of the stay. We had a great time and will definitely consider returning in the future. (Baggsy I get the four poster bed again!)
