The property was just ok. There was an issue with the two downstairs toilets. It was reported and they sent someone out but the one of the toilets still wouldn’t flush. There was a used glass next to the TV when we arrived. The beds all have a thick foam topper which was very uncomfortable.
For the price of this unit, I felt the condition was very poor. The mattresses were old and very broke down and then had huge foam toppers on them to make them better. The couches were also completely broke down and plywood was installed under the cushions to support a person which make them very uncomfortable. The counters were very heavily worn, and the chairs at the table also very creaky and wobbly. The bathrooms needed a deep cleaning and the it could also use some paint. I am sure rentals are hard to keep up, but I would not keep my home in this poor of shape. It is almost like the owners need to visit their own property more often and stay in it to see what it really needs and start prioritizing repairs. As for the rental agency. We arrived at 3am and I called and left a message, as I didn't really want to stay there. I didn't expect them to be open, but they called me the next afternoon and told me they had nothing else available to move me. They offered a partial refund to leave the property, but it was so minimal that it wouldn't cover much of anything of what I paid. With no other place to go on such short notice we stayed there, but I would have rather staying in a simple hotel room than this place. It has great views of the river and is in a quiet neighborhood in a good location. It has a lot of potential, but needs a lot of work.
The property was very neat and clean. The neighborhood was very well lit. We felt very safe there. The house was beautifully decorated for the holidays. This was one of the best vacations we have had. Looking forward to our next stay.
The cabin location was very good. We loved the river running behind the cabin and it was convenient. However, we didn’t have drain plugs to any of the bathtubs so they could not be used as baths, which was very inconvenient with a young child. The signal on all of the TVs was so intermittent that we were not able to watch any of the TVs in the cabin. We contacted the management service our first day there and they said they would get back to us, but never did. Then, after we left, they contacted me and told me they would refund part of our fees, $33, but that came with having to sign a contract to not give any reviews anywhere so I didn’t sign it. I looked on their website where I left my review, and it has been taken down also. Seems to me this company spends more time trying to hide bad reviews than just working to help guests have good experiences. Be careful when dealing with Fireside Chalets.
Good option for 1 or 2 folks. Small, basic, clean, peaceful.
The house was clean. A thorough inspection by the owner and subsequent minor repairs and sprucing up would be helpful. Appliances are basic and functional. Two bedrooms on main floor and one upstairs. The bathroom grab bars are a plus for disabled, but slick tubs are scary for us. Loved the porch view of the river! NO WIRELESS CONNECTION.
Location was great! Home was very pretty clean and decorated so cute for Christmas! Had everything we needed. The back deck overlooking the river was the place to be. Beds were very comfortable and it was great each had its own bathroom. Overall we all just loved it.
The location and layout of the home were great. The porch with stream view was very enjoyable. The bedding needs cleaning as well as the bath rugs. Home could use some freshening up with paint.
This cabin/home is extremely dated and dirty. The furnishings are old and worn. The walls are in desperate need of painting. The bath mats were incredibly soiled. The kitchen cabinets and drawers were sticky and greasy to the touch. The blind above the kitchen window was covered in what appeared to be grease and grey dust. The furniture on the back deck was covered with spider webs and the cushions were very worn. It was grossly disappointing especially considering the cost. We will not be returning or recommending it to others.
Me and my two friends enjoyed staying in this property so much. It is very close to Pigeon Forge yet is in a very nice setting. We absolutely loved sitting on the back porch and listening to the river. We would definitely stay here again and hopefully soon.
The location and the view was the only positive thing about this place. At first glance everything look ok but after getting settled in we noticed that all the vents were covered with dust, inside of the garbage cans were disgusting and smelly, the left sink was so clogged. It took the whole week for it to drain, both bathtubs were disgusting. They had mold on the Jets that there was an in the standing shower the bottom floor was black. The toilets and bathroom sinks were not clean. We had to clean the toilet and the sink and the stand shower so we had something to use. There is a two hour policy to notify the property people if there are issues but by the time we got there and got settled, the two hour window was passed so we did not feel like we could contact unless it was an emergency per the policy. I could say that I will not stay there again, and I would not recommend this place to anyone.
We had a great stay at this property. It was the perfect size unit for us (3 adults and 2 children). The place could use some updating, painting (pencil drawing on wall in upstairs bedroom), and repairs (cracked tile behind toilet in upstairs bathroom). The unit was clean upon arrival, but a deep clean wouldn't hurt. The beds were comfortable. What made it worthwhile was the view off the deck and the location of the property. It's off the main strip in a nice neighborhood, but it's close to everything. The view off the deck of the river is fantastic. The peacefulness is truly pleasant. Overall, we had a wonderful stay. I'd go back to this property or one like it by Fireside Chalets in the same vicinity.
The cabin was beautiful; however, it is not being maintained at all. There was black mold in the bathrooms, scribbling on the walls, stains on the carpet, dirty cups in the cabinet, and dust galore! I contacted the
property management company and shared photos of all the mold and dust.
Great area and comfortable little house. Wish river access had been a little better for the kids. If you are not looking to fish or stick toes in the river, it is a great place.
My favorite part of staying at this place is the backyard porch. We didn't even need a TV to entertain us. We loved the ducks, geese, birds and squirrels that would come to see us each day. It was the most relaxing time we've ever
had in pigeon forge.
Located one mile from downtown Pigeon Forge and close to attractions like Hollywood Wax Museum, The Titanic Museum, and Wonderworks. Sits next to the Little Pigeon River with easy access to river. Three Bedrooms, Three Bathrooms (2 with whirlpool tubs), located in the River Pointe Subdivision with access to the community pavilion with picnic tables.
