Detached house on own property

Located on the edge of the rustic village of Doornspijk, this beautifully renovated recreation home is for rent.

The house is an old chicken barn that was converted into a house in the 1960s. In 2019 the house was completely renovated into this contemporary holiday home, equipped with all modern conveniences. The rustic thatched roof and black potted covered walls give an authentic look.

The house has a spacious hall on the ground floor, an attractive, comfortably furnished living room with fully equipped open kitchen, a smartly decorated bathroom and a separate toilet.

A stylish and cozy double bedroom has been furnished on the upper floor.

The accompanying garden with terrace is a pleasant place to enjoy the sun and the rural tranquility.

We wanted a place to stay while we visited in the area. We found everything we needed here and a lovely ambiance. The proprietors have been creative and thoughtful. Only be aware there is a narrow steep spiral stair case to access the bedroom.

Tolle Unterkunft und Landschaft
Vor der Reise haben wir uns so gut wie garnicht informiert. Wir waren sehr überrascht über die Unterkunft und die wunderschöne vielseitige Landschaft. Wir sind sehr viel Fahrrad gefahren und haben uns sehr gut erholt.

We visited this cosy place last weekend and it was beautiful. The cottage offered everything yesterday we needed, had a unique style and was super clean! Martin and Angela are great hosts and helped us to have a wonderful, short holiday!

An overall great experience
A friend and i stayed at the "olde Kippenschuur" for a week and had a lovely experience. The house was very clean and the themed interior was perfect. The weather was fantastic aswell. There is nothing bad to write about it. It is most definitely worth a visit!

Quiet and nice accommodation on small village
The accommodation was just perfect for us. We got good night sleep between festival days. The area was nice and quiet. Spar was near. Our hosts were super kind and helpful during our visit.

A very nice holiday!
We really enjoyed our holiday because the cottage itself is simply great and cosy! een happy to stay there for a week in the constant rain, because it is tastefully furnished, cosy and very pleasant in the cottage. Nothing is missing! The hosts, Martin and Angela, are both very friendly, helpful and lovely! Our decision to rent there was exactly the right one! Thank you for a wonderful week with you! Een mooi oud en nieuw
We zijn vrijdagmiddag aangekomen. We hadden direct contact met de verhuurder. Het huisje was keurig schoon en zag er gezellig uit. Uitgebreide keuken, mooie zithoek en een heerlijk bed. Ondanks het wat matige weer een heerlijk weekend.

Keurig vakantiehuis in rustige omgeving
Fijn vakantiehuis met genoeg ruimte voor 2 personen. Ruime keuken waarin alles aanwezig is. Handdoeken en keukendoeken waren aanwezig, erg prettig. Bedden waren opgemaakt. Enig klein nadeel was de smalle wenteltrap naar boven.

Un petit coin de paradis
Le logement a beaucoup de caractère et un charme fou, tout est propre et neuf. La maison est petite mais suffisante pour deux. Nous avons particulièrement aimé l'extérieur très bien aménagé avec terrasse, salon de jardin et parasol ! Les propriétaires sont charmants et très discrets. La maison est idéalement située si vous désirez visiter la Gueldres. Ce fut très appréciable de faire peu de kilomètres pour visiter chaque ville. Doornspijk nous a offert son calme, sa verdure et le chant de ses oiseaux. Nous avons adoré notre séjour là-bas, très reposant. 2 petites choses qui pourraient être améliorées dans la maison : - L'escalier qui mène à la chambre. Celui est très très étroit, très raide et donc très difficile à monter et descendre, même pour une personne en bonne forme physique. Donc si vous avez des problèmes de mobilité il vous sera impossible d'accéder à la chambre. Ma compagne a des soucis de genoux et il lui était vraiment difficile de monter et descendre. - Un petit peu plus d'accessoires de cuisine serait parfait (c'est un détail) comme une passoire et une essoreuse à salade (les français aiment cuisiner). Je précise que ces détails-là ne nous ont pas empêché de passer un super séjour et nous recommandons fortement cette location! MERCI !!! The accommodation has a lot of character and crazy charm, everything is clean and new. The house is small but sufficient for two. We particularly liked the very well-appointed exterior with terrace, garden furniture and parasol! The owners are charming and very discreet. The house is ideally located if you want to visit Gelderland. It was very nice to travel a few kilometers to visit each city. Doornspijk offered us its calm, its greenery and the song of its birds. We loved our stay there, very relaxing. 2 small things that could be improved in the house: - The staircase leading to the bedroom. It is very very narrow, very steep and therefore very difficult to go up and down, even for a person in good physical shape. So if you have mobility problems it will be impossible for you to access the bedroom. My wife has knee problems and it was really difficult for her to go up and down. - A little more kitchen accessories would be perfect (it's a detail) like a colander and a salad spinner (the French like to cook). I specify that these details did not prevent us from having a great stay and that we highly recommend this rental! Thank you very much for your welcome and your extraordinary gifts!!!

Liebevolle Unterkunft
Bei diesem Ferienhaus passte wirklich alles. Die Vermieter waren super nett und herzlich. Das Haus selbst ist sehr liebevoll eingerichtet, nur die Breite, bzw. Schmale der Treppe sollte nicht unterschätzt werden. Überraschender Weise bleibt es durch das Reeddach auch bei hohen Temperaturen kühl im Haus. Hier wurden wir gerne wieder Urlaub machen.

The awesome Kippenschuur
It was awesome!! The apartment or even the house is so cute and decorated with so much love. Direct from the beginning the warm welcome of Martin was perfect, he explained everything and afterwards we could enjoy the silence and peace of the area and the place where the host build this beatiful little house. Perfect for two persons, shower and toilett are seperated, everything else is prepared, towels, bed linen and everything else. Also Coffee and Tea for the first day are available and a little present for the first evening. :) Thanks a lot again for the great stay in your lovely KIppenschuur. :)

Knus compleet
We hebben genoten van de omgeving prachtig om te fietsen. Het huisje ca 5km van centrum van het prachtige Elburg. Het huisje is groot genoegen compleet ingericht met terras. De hele kleine wenteltrap naar de slaap kamer is erg krap en daardoor lastig als je snachts naar de wc moet.
