About this property
3 Tagides
The magnificent Tágides apartment is your perfect home away from home. It is located in the heart of the Alfama, probably the most famous quarter of Lisbon. The location is very favorable to discover the city on foot. Some of the most beautiful viewpoints are located only a few minutes away. Just follow the tram tracks to both directions and you will get to the famous Miradouro de Santa Luzia or to Campo de Santa Clara where the popular flea market Feira da Ladra takes place twice a week on Tuesday and Saturday.
We also recommend you to follow the lane that goes down in direction to the Tagus River. Just venture to get lost in the small lanes and you will be rewarded with wonderful discoveries like little hidden squares, typical restaurants and cafés, small shops and beautiful little white churches. The Alfama with its middle-aged buildings is one of the most beautiful old town quarters of the world. It is protected as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. To discover the other old town quarters of Lisbon just step on the famous tram E28 and let it take you for a downhill and uphill ride through the whole town. You find the next tram just a few meters from your door.
The elegant studio apartment is located on a third floor of a building that perfectly fits into the neighbourhood. The apartment has been carefully equipped and decorated with an eye for every detail. The special and much-quoted light of Lisbon floods the apartment and turns it into a bright place to relax and enjoy. All the windows offer you wonderful views. From the kitchen side you can see the red roofs of the Alfama and the huge Tagus estuary that will remind you of the proximity of the ocean. On the other side of the apartment you can observe the little ancient wagons of the E28 tram while they tirelessly climb the hills of Lisbon. You can even catch a glimpse of the famous Sao Vicente monastery that is located only a few walking minutes above the apartment. The apartment consists of an open space living and bedroom with integrated kitchen and a separated modern bathroom with a shower. You can enjoy a successful combination of contemporary and convenient design and traditional elements like antique furniture and the famous old Portuguese tiles, the azulejos.
You will be received by Mauro on your arrival at the apartment. Your contact person will wait for you and show you the apartment.
