Spacious Accommodation

Very spacious accommodation and it was presented beautifully. A very welcome 2 pints of milk in the fridge to make a cup of coffee after driving for just under 5 hours. Great property and in the heart of Whitby. Only downside there was no parking outside the property but only a short walk from the local car parks.
Stayed 7 nights in Jul 2022

Annie's place is an apartment over two floors, above the Sweet Shop on Church Street.

Annie's place is an apartment over two floors, above the Sweet Shop on Church Street. The location is great, very handy for the beach and the Abbey. Plenty of local shops - a bakery right opposite with great croissants and coffee. Great in Folk Week as you can hear the music from the street outside. The property has its own access staircase and door. The owners were in the shop below. They were very friendly when we arrived and got the key, but left us alone for the holiday. The apartment is exceptionally clean and comfortable with a very cosy living room. The kitchen is well equipped, with a great view of the river and other side of town. The bedrooms are beautifully decorated and comfortable. It was a bit difficult to sleep in the bedrooms on the front of the house when the bin collection came in the mornings, but we knew this would be the case as we have stayed on Church Street before. The noisy mornings are easily balanced out by the great night-time atmosphere and convenience of the location. The parking is slightly difficult. It is not a problem as it isn't far from the property, but you do have to go out in the morning to buy a new ticket and you obviously lose your space when you go out in the day time. Perhaps there is a weekly ticket? Overall a fabulous property - highly recommended & will definitely return.

A wonderful home from home, well equipped, clean and comfortable. Excellent location. Friendly host. Only downside is parking but that's the nature of Whitby and we always found somewhere eventually.

Love Whitby and go regular the cottage was really nice well equipped and clean .A couple of downsides the TV didn't work but I'm sure if I'd popped in the shop they would have sorted it. The other down side was the church clock chiming every hour

annies place,is in an ideal place for getting around town.

annies place,is in an ideal place for getting around town. its on the flat so no hills to climb. it just needs a couple of repairs inside. the lights in the bathroom kept flickering so you had to keep turning them on and off to work. the hot tap in the en-suite is very noisy and there is nowhere to park.
