About this property

Villa in the historic center with completely private garden and outside space for eating. One of a kind with a tranquility, privacy, greenery that almost does not seem like being in the city connected to all services. The villa has been completely renovated recently according to the canons of the Bolognese tradition with high-level finishes such as Venetian floors, exposed chestnut beams and mosaic bathrooms.

Pets allowed with a supplement of €20.00 per stay

The house is unique because of the garden right in the historic center of Bologna and being 8 minutes away from the main square, Piazza Maggiore! Moreover, the space is extremely quite due to the house being located away from the street and having a garden. Lastly, being a single house, there are no noise or prying eyes from neighbors!

From the train station there are two bus lines stopping in front of the house. The first line is number 21, right in square medaglie d'oro. The second line departs from square XX Settembre, across the street from the train station. The stop of the house for both lines is Sant'isaia. Journey time is about 10 minutes. It takes 20 minutes by foot.

Isaia Garden Apartment

A very nice apartment but a few niggles: the check in procedure was okay, however, when arriving at the property, none of the phone numbers listed in the instructions worked. I found another and managed to speak to someone who initiated the opening of the outer front door remotely. There did not appear to be any way to switch on the lights leading to the property through the garden, it was very dark! A couple of glasses were chipped and the only cork screw was broken. We replaced the corkscrew as we wanted to have some wine! I left the chipped glasses out and labled them as such. I did notify the owner/caretake who acknowledged this. From the description of the property, we were not aware that one of the bathrooms was on the ground floor, maybe our mistake. Regardless, we had a great time and the location of the apartment was really good. Thank you!

Spacious and private

This apartment was very private and quite spacious for two. The garden is wonderful-altho rain prevented us from enjoying it. The location is a little remote from the historic center- about a mile, which is a lot for septugenarians. The bus system is excellent but you have to learn how to use it.The best thing about the location is the proximity to Rosmarin-a wonderful Trattoria with 5 star food.Few Italians spoke English in that neighborhood, which made getting around more difficult. Overall, we recommend this place for touring Americans but rent it with eyes wide open. We never met an owner- the entry directions were a little weird -

We had a wonderful time. The apartment was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped which enhanced our stay. The location was excellent. The listing should include instructions about where to park.

Lovely, quiet place in downtown Bologna

Had a wonderful stay with family here. So quiet! And such a lovely street minutes from all the sites downtown. Bathrooms were nice and modern and we had a washer in the kitchen. There was also a hairdryer in the bathroom upstairs which I very much appreciate as I’d love to pack it but never do when we go to Europe. Very nice touch. The best was the garden where we could relax after a long day walking about. Only thing to note during check in is if you’re a US resident, you need to enter 00 or the + sign when making the call to be let in initially. On our cell phones I couldn’t find the + and didn’t know you can also use 00. This should be stated clearly in the directions. Other than that, lovely stay and would come again!
