About this property

One Lazy Duck, Heacham, Norfolk

One Lazy Duck is an absolute gem of a holiday property located in the coastal village of Heacham. Just five minutes' walk from the beach, this super smart detached bungalow is vibrantly styled, and comfortably accommodates six guests with two dogs.

Named after the ducks that frequent its front garden, this delightful property is conveniently located on the edge of Heacham village on a small cul-de-sac set just off the road that leads to the beach. One Lazy Duck is a mid '90s detached bungalow that has been thoughtfully revamped to ensure guests experience a relaxing and worry-free Norfolk holiday. The fabulous open-plan contemporary living environment flows around one side of the property, with sleeping accommodation on the other. With ample worktop space and modern appliances, the country-style kitchen is well-equipped to provide all that guests need to cater at home. A spacious adjacent dining area provides ample seating for six guests, with a useful chalkboard hung behind making a real event of planning the days ahead over a delicious breakfast. Sumptuous sofas in the sitting room beckon guests to nestle in after a day spent exploring the stunning coastline. A charming wood burning stove adds extra warmth and fills the room with ambient light on chillier evenings. Sliding glass doors lead out to the generous patio area and garden, allowing fresh sea air to drift through on warmer days. Light and bright, the master bedroom hosts a double bed and benefits from an en suite shower room. Vibrant bedroom two features twin beds, as does bedroom three. A fully tiled family bathroom offering bath with shower over, serves these bedrooms. Outside, the rear garden faces south-west allowing the comfortable outdoor seating to enjoy the sunshine. Being fully enclosed, this is a safe place for supervised children and dogs to play. Fire up the barbecue and make the most of the long summer evenings. Parking for three cars is available on the driveway to the side of the property.

One Lazy Duck is a great holiday destination for couples, families and friends to enjoy at any time of year. Heacham is a pretty coastal village with excellent local amenities, and makes for a great base for exploring coastal and rural North West Norfolk. Heacham has three pubs; The Bushel & Strike, The West Norfolk and The Fox and Hounds. The Coasthopper bus service traverses the length of the coastline stopping at many attractions, including stunning sandy beaches, picturesque villages, fabulous pubs, and more, meaning the car can be parked up for the duration of the stay. Heacham has many footpaths to discover, and a great beach side promenade that stretches all the way to the iconic carrstone cliffs of neighbouring Hunstanton. Look out for popular Bordoli's pizza truck that visits the village on a Wednesday evening, and be sure to sample the gooiest of treats from Breakfast and Brownies on the high street. There is also a great antiques shop and cafe to be found next to the Tesco Express. For a larger supermarket, Lidl is located on on the road to Snettisham, and there is a big Tescos in Hunstanton, which also has EV chargers in the car park and a fuel station.

Good holiday home.

A very good property in excellent location which afforded us many walks along the sea front. In a good location for trips to surrounding towns and countryside.

A lovely spot from which to explore North Norfolk

We had a lovely stay, One Lazy Duck is in a great location, we could walk to the beach at Heacham and it was a good location from which to explore the rest of the North Norfolk coast with our two dogs. There are loads of great dog friendly pubs, serving excellent food. I would recommend.

10/10 Excellent

Very high standard of accomodation. Good location for seeing the north Norfolk coast.

Lovely property, very clean and comfortable. Only complaint is the patio due to the different levels, stumbled a couple of times as you can't see the levels change due to the slabs being all the same colour. Needs a light near the garage for when arriving home in the dark. Otherwise would stay here again and again. Excellent.

A very well equipped and furnished bungalow.

Really enjoyed staying at The Lazy Duck. It is very conveniently situated for the beach and buses. The decor in the bungalow is very decadent , and I love their choice of colours. Lovely private garden, and good garden furniture. Also had lovely weather.
