About the host
Hosted by French Fields

Myself and my husband Stan bought our property in 2004 as a holiday home and we enjoyed many holidays here with our families. In 2018 my husband retired and we decided to move to France full time. We have never regretted this and we decided that we would like to share this experience with others.
Why they chose this property
French Fields is set in the beautiful countryside of the Charente in S W France and it has so much to offer to different groups of people. It is so peaceful and if you need to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life then this is the spot for you. It's a food and wine lovers paradise and you can spend the day shopping at local markets buying great local produce to cook for lunch or dinner. And if you prefer a more active holiday then the area has plenty of activities for families to do. There are a number of water parks and the Charente Lakes are close by and you can hire canoes or kayak's and while away the hot sunny days on the lakes or rivers. The area boasts very safe bike trails and its a hikers dream. The local people are so friendly and welcoming and you are made to feel right at home. What more could you want
