A great stay in the Eternal City
We had a great 3-week stay in Marina's apartment. She is a very warm and welcoming host and met us at the apartment to check us in and show us around. She was always quick to respond to any inquiries, both before and during our stay. The apartment is very spacious and filled with light. The beds were very comfortable and there was always plenty of hot water. The kitchen is pretty well-equipped and we ate nearly all of our breakfasts and dinners in the apartment (we were usually too tired to go out after a day of museums or other sightseeing!).
The apartment's location suited us very well: There are two Metro stops (Furio Camillo and Colle Albani) within a 10-minute walk and all of the stations for the major attractions in Rome are no more than a 10-minute ride on the Metro. We enjoyed being close to the center, but not IN the center of this very dynamic city. The neighborhood is very convenient, with two grocery stores within a 3-minute walk, as well as several greengrocers and a nice café/bistro right outside the front door.
There is a lovely restaurant around the corner, Cucina Mercato, that offers delicious food at reasonable prices. We had our best dinner in Rome there!
Although we never took it, there is a bus (#85) that stops in front of the apartment and goes right to the center of Rome within about 30-35 minutes if you'd prefer to avoid the metro.
We loved staying here and will gladly return when we come back to Rome again!
