Casa Sonny: cottage in magical garden 3km from the historic center of Asti

A cottage, rich in history and unique details, an enchanted garden, a labyrinth of colors and scents: nestled in the beautiful Unesco hills of the Langhe-Monferrato, but 3km from the historic center of Asti, this is a perfect starting point for a tour food and wine and culture. Peace, relaxation, walks in the park, genuine breakfast with organic orchard products. We will be available for suggestions or, upon request, to offer you an experience to discover the territory.

We are 3 km from Asti, 50 from Turin, 30 from Alba.

Casa Sonny is a 70sqm cottage furnished with antiques and works of art. Around, the large and varied garden, rich in every tree essence and historical evidence, is ready to make you feel part of this ancient world, a little dreamy and all to explore. There are fruit and ornamental trees, flowers and shrubs of all kinds, stone seats and tables, pergolas, a synergistic vegetable garden.
For those who wish, upon request, it is possible to experience drawing and watercolor.
There are board games, freesbies, bowls for children.
Casa Sonny consists of:
- a bedroom with a double bed and two large windows: one overlooks the patio / garden, the other overlooks the hill.
- a second bedroom with a French bed and two ogival windows overlooking the vineyards.
- a 30sqm lounge / kitchen, complete with dishwasher and various useful appliances (juicer, toaster, microwave, mixer, juicer etc ...), with a comfortable double sofa bed. For HD television we have SKY. In the fridge and in the pantry you will find products for breakfast or snack (milk, butter, organic jam of our production, yogurt, cereals, juices, biscuits or homemade cake, in addition to the inevitable Piedmontese hazelnuts!). Brochures, maps and books of Asti and its surroundings.
- a bathroom with shower Washing machine.

You will have at your disposal, for your exclusive use, the large patio covered by the wisteria and jasmine pergola, in front of the cottage entrance, with a recycled wood table, iron chairs, deck chairs, rocking chair. Above the cottage there is also a private path that leads to a meadow with a large fig in the middle and plum trees.
Of course you can walk in the park / orchard (common area) and stop to pick hazelnuts or other seasonal fruits.

We live in the main house, next to Casa Sonny and another cottage (Casa Pimpa). We will be happy to give you any suggestions or, on request, to organize for you tours to discover the medieval castles, the Romanico del Monferrato, a very precious unicum of warm colors sculptures, of Piedmontese Baroque, soft and sober as our hills and the typical snacks "sinoire", small dinners from late afternoon.
Or, we will be invisible ... :-)

Other things to highlight:

Here there is no pool, but only relaxation, peace and lots and lots of green.
The cottage is inserted in the main house, a typical former Piedmontese farmhouse, and next to another cottage (Casa Pimpa), which we also rent for short periods, all completely independent of each other.
The entrance is independent and hidden: that is, you can enter and exit without anyone seeing or disturbing you. To access it, a narrow and steep stone staircase with a wrought-iron handrail, or a short path in the grove of pine, larch and bamboo, and stone steps.
The areas in common are the parking lot (under a cool wooden roof) and the park with the orchard and vegetable garden.
Heating in Casa Sonny is via a bio pellet heating stove: it is modern and with a beautiful design, and it works very well: however, it must be charged every day (once a day, normally in the morning). We can do it without problems, or if you prefer, you can do it yourself.
IMPORTANT: Tourist tax to be delivered by hand: 2 euros per day per guest for a maximum of 4 days. After 4 days you won't pay anymore. Exempt children under 10 years. The receipt will be issued.
