Palermo Viejo was once a fairly bohemian neighborhood of cobblestoned streets and old mansions. Since the year 2000, it has experienced a major transformation, becoming the center of Buenos Aires in terms of food and drink, fashion, and design. The neighborhood is divided in two: from Avenida Juan B. Justo northward lies Palermo Hollywood (it gets its name from the large number of film and TV production companies located in the area); south of the avenue is Palermo Soho which—named after the celebrated New York neighborhood—is the city’s hub for alternative shopping. Nearby theaters such as Chacarerean and Centro de la Cultura de la Ciencia and Museo Casa de Alfredo Palacio are a must. Great apartment in a fabulous location!

Manuel was extremely helpful to me at all hours of the day. The location of this unit is hard to beat. Very clean, would highly recommend to anyone traveling to Buenos Aires.

5 Days in Buenos Aires - Palermo Hollywood

The room was as described, but it took some effort to get the host to communicate and to provide the check-in information. I was already en route to Argentina without any assurance that I had a secured rental, which was a bit uncomfortable. It all worked out in the end, though would have preferred earlier communication. Also, the gym was not in working order and was a major motivator for my rental of this particular listing. Thankfully there are fitness centers throughout the area that allow day drop-ins, so I just went to those instead.

How convenient

Property was in a neighborhood that was so walkable. It was a pleasure to walk the tree lined streets daily. So many restaurants, bakeries, and coffeeshops to visit. All within easy walking distance.
