About this property
The White Room, Private, Luxe Suite
Enjoy this private entranced luxurious & inviting self contained room.
Designed with comfort, privacy and simplicity in mind we have guests stay just a weekend or up to 4 months. It has self catering facilities in this mini suite. King size upholstered winged sleigh bed, hand made English Vi-Spring mattress & down duvet.
The cute little kitchen area stores your breakfast goodies with welcome pack with complimentary tea, fresh ground coffee, milk, granola, bread and butter. The mini kitchen area has a combination microwave oven, kettle, toaster, sink and fridge with freezer. We can supply an iron, ironing board, hairdryer and just ask if we can help with anything else.
Your own private front door for you to come and go as you please. There is a little private hall way to leave boots, bags etc.
The private ensuite shower room has a glass blocked wall with large glass shower cubicle, shower gel & towels.
Guest have their own space and agenda, but we are here if you need any advice or tips and what we love locally. We know the best fish restaurant, cocktail bar, burger joint or artisan bakery - all independent and here in Bury St Edmunds.
Quiet leafy avenue just a few minutes walk from the 'bustle' of Bury !
We walk into town often from here - just 15 minutes to the Abbey Gardens - less to the Arc shopping centre. We are a short cab ride from the train or bus station, but local buses stop nearby.
Explore East Anglia from this central medieval market town, with all its history & unspoilt character. The area has strong connections with the US due to USAF bases here now and since the second world war. The Lavenham Swan, just 20 minutes away has a bar full of memorabilia and signatures from Flight crews based nearby during the war, it's a real piece of history and a great place to get a pint. The East Coast is just an hour away, with Aldeburgh Southwold and Walberswick a great day trip from here. Cambridge is 30 minutes drive from here and we have guests commute their for temporary jobs there and also guests visit the huge array of history and beautiful buildings there, sometimes taking the train (25 minute trip)
Ely and the Norfolk broads are just 40 minutes from here, and we are just down the road from Newmarket famous for the Rowley Mile races & home to some of the most prestigious horse breeding studs in the World. Bury St Edmunds is a fantastic base to explore East Anglia from.
We are 90 minutes drive to the outisde of London too.
Let us know if you are gluten intolerant and we will alter our breakfast goodies for you.
