Beautifully renovated Farm House built in 1896. Perfect for families!

This historic farm house has been beautifully renovated and sleeps 10. It offers a gourmet kitchen, antique furnishings, a claw foot bathtub, a jetted tub in the master bathroom as well as a full dining room and a separate breakfast nook.

Children love meeting the heritage hogs, and goats on the property.

1/2 mile from Hog and Saw Farm is another farm where Andy and Melanie live. Make an appointment to come over and pick in season berries, vegetables, learn to milk a goat and collect eggs. We also have 4 peacocks!


Guests can relax and enjoy the view of the mountains from the wrap around veranda.

There is a play house, swings, slide and fort for the youngest visitors to play on. Lots of toy and books too!

During your stay, enjoy the public water access to great swimming, kayaking and canoeing just a half a mile away.

The owners Melanie and Andy are just a 1/2 mile away as if you have any questions or needs during your stay.

Melanie and Andy are not new to VRBO. For over seven years they have owned and managed The Farm House on Hog & Saw Farm and Camas Flats in downtown Kalispell as vacation rentals. The Farm House and all three of the Flats have 5-star ratings.

Wonderful Vacation

Our host, Melanie, was wonderful. Very quick to communicate. Our family absolutely loved the adorable home. It was very comfortable for all of us. The kids had such a wonderful time seeing all the animals. Our host went above and beyond to make sure the family had an enjoyable stay and comfortable vacation. I highly recommend this home. We hope to return one day.

“Out West” trip favorite

We drove up to the Farm house and initially thought “kinda neat”. Then we walked in and the adjectives “cute, adorable, sweet, awesome” came from our group. Kids loved the yard and the the adults loved the kitchen. It worked great for our 2 families. Melanie was awesome and we would definitely recommend staying here!

Great place for a large group!

We thoroughly enjoyed our time staying at The Farm House. It fit our family of 8 (6 adults and 2 toddlers) extremely well, especially giving the toddlers ample room to run around outside in the fenced-in area. It made our trip so enjoyable. The old Farm House is definitely a bit quirky with squeaky floorboards, but we loved the charm and setting so very much! Thanks for the great stay!

Wonderful house and property.

House was clean, large and accommodated all members. Fenced yard with playhouse, playset and access to farm animals was wonderful for little ones and two dogs that vacationed with us. Host was gracious and helpful. Location was close to town and lake. Only negative was the mosquitoes which limited enjoying the outdoor spaces as much as we would have liked. Highly recommend this property.

Wonderful setting for a family group!

What a great place to have a family gathering! All ages thoroughly enjoyed our time spent at the Farm. There was plenty of room for 5 adults and 6 children, 10 years and younger. The large, modern kitchen was the adults’ favorite room while the kids enjoyed hanging out in the Living Room/Parlor and meeting the goats and pigs. The hosts were prompt to respond to any of our questions or needs. 5 Stars for sure 😀

Family fun at Hog & Saw Farm

We had so much fun staying at Hog & Saw Farm. Hosts were excellent at communicating & very responsive to our needs. Kids (& adults) enjoyed petting the goats & picking eggs every day. Mosquitoes were out in full force so extra bug spray was a must. The farm house was perfect for accommodating our large family meals.

Great kid and dog friendly farmhouse!!

Everything was as described. Gorgeous home, beautiful landscaping and extremely responsive hosts!! We stayed for a week and our little girl would have played in the backyard the entire time if we would have let her!! We had people of all ages in our group and everyone was so pleased with the accommodations!! We cannot wait to book this house again!!!

Charming & Spacious Farmhouse

This property is so charming and huge. We lucked out renting this home along with their second property on their farm which was a renovated barn turned into a 4 bedroom home. We all agreed that we scored with this find! This property was so inviting and cozy and the enormous kitchen with gas stove made cooking meals for our big group easy! Lots of bathrooms and good sized rooms. A wrap around porch, fire pit, kids swingset and dollhouse please all the adults and children. Melanie was a gracious host! We highly recommend this property to anyone.

Flathead Vacation

This property was the perfect getaway. The kids had a blast seeing all the farm animals and gathering eggs each day. The yard was big and private with a firepit the kids really enjoyed. I can't say enough about Melanie and Andy our great hosts. They thought of everything and were very helpful. This property is very close to the Flathead River and swimming. If it's a rainy day, Kalispell and Bigfork are nearby and fun to visit. I highly recommend this vacation home!

Best Vacation Ever!

Melanie, This is what all 7 grandkids (and adults as well) said, “Best vacation ever”. The farmhouse was super clean, quaint and homey but large enough for our whole family. It was close to many activities, horseback riding, river rafting and boat rentals. Then to come home to the farm to gather eggs, and feed goats and pigs. Our dog had a great time making friends with the farm kitty!

Family Trip

We absolutely loved our stay at the Farmhouse! Our trip consisted of 6 children ages 3-10, and 6 adults. The house fit our needs perfectly and was absolutely charming! We spent one morning with Melanie feeding the animals which the kids absolutely loved. Melanie is the nicest person and was so patient with the kids answering their questions and showing them where to throw feed, etc. We were about a 15-20 minute drive from a perfect park at Flathead Lake where we spent the day swimming and paddle boarding. Glacier was about a 50 minute drive and we enjoyed our time in the national park. All in all, it was a fabulous vacation and one that I definitely want to do again.

Wonderful summer birthday celebration

Melanie and Andy are wonderful. They are accommodating and friendly and the place is better than described. Beautiful, private, and great for families. We made a ton of delicious food in the week stocked kitchen, had meals on the back patio, fed the goats and pigs, and had a blast. We'll return!

Perfect Vacation Spot

This farm house was the perfect place for our family vacation with two teenage daughters. The house is super clean and full of charm. When we were relaxing at the house, our girls loved holding the piglets, hanging out with the goats and collecting the eggs from the chickens. They had even named some of their favorites. The Church Slough just down the road was the perfect spot to have a picnic dinner and paddleboard and Flathead Lake was close and easy to get to. We only wish we could have spent more time there and hope to go back soon with more of our family!

Melanie grew up on a cattle ranch in Montana which was originally owned by her great-grandmother. Melanie enjoys canning, gardening, knitting and working with the animals. She makes cheese from the Hog & Saw farm goats’ milk. When not on the farm, Melanie enjoys traveling and visiting her children and grandchildren who live abroad. While abroad both she and Andy enjoy staying at Vacation Retals.

Andy is an all around outdoorsman and talented finish carpenter. In his free time he makes his own bows and is an accomplished fly fisherman. You can see Andy’s work around Hog & Saw farm from the high tunnels in the garden to the handmade cabinets and countertops in the gourmet kitchen. Andy also designed and made a cider press so they can make cider from the apples in their orchard. He is interested in ecologically friendly living and he and Melanie are currently building a home with which utilizes eco-friendly innovations.
