About this property
Trewhiddle Villa 21 - a trewhiddle that sleeps 6 guests in 3 bedrooms
This stunning holiday villa is one of only six three-bedroomed, timber clad, ‘New England' style residences at Trewhiddle Village, offering three spacious en-suite bedrooms, which have been built on two levels to exceptionally high standards of design and quality. Well insulated and warm in winter, thanks to underfloor heating throughout the ground floor, but cool in summer due to the entire ground floor being finished in travertine marble.
Villa 21 benefits from a contemporary, granite worktop kitchen, including a large breakfast bar to enjoy your morning coffee and chat about your plans for the day. The kitchen has all of the fully integrated appliances necessary for serving up delicious feasts of locally caught seafood and other Cornish delicacies. Facilities in the kitchen include Neff gas hob, electric oven and microwave, coffee percolator, toaster and complimentary tea and instant coffee as well as a dishwasher and washer/dryer. The large dining table with six chairs is more than adequate to seat all of your party for a super lunch or dinner, or even a great take away from one of the many local restaurants.
The Lounge area has a large ‘L' shaped sofa plus a relaxing leather recliner and footstool, guests can enjoy all of the modern amenities expected of a luxury stay including a flat screen Smart TV with freesat box, a DVD player and complimentary WiFi. The villa is provided with iron, ironing board and hairdryers in each bedroom as well as complimentary shampoo and body wash.
The three en-suite bedrooms can comfortably accommodate a family of six, or groups of friends, with whisper soft beds and sumptuous textiles. The master bedroom offers a king size bed with expansive full height glazed views across the adjacent meadowland, whilst bedrooms 2 and 3 both are provided with twin beds, which can be joined to form super king sized beds. The master bathroom has a full size sumptuous bath whilst the other bathrooms have walk in glass showers. All three bath/shower rooms are finished in travertine marble, whilst downstairs there is also a separate cloakroom.
Outside, Villa 21 is blessed with a south facing, fully enclosed, sunny deck, with table, chairs and loungers to soak up the Cornish sunshine, all ideal for enjoying the fabulous Cornish sunsets. Trewhiddle Village has access to over 120 acres of beautiful woodland valley, a well stocked children's playground and tranquil meadowland.
In terms of location, Trewhiddle provides the perfect blend of countryside living, accessible sports and incredible coastal adventures. Only two minutes from the entrance is the famous Pentewan Trail, this is a bike/walking trail that leads directly to Pentewan village and a fabulous beach, where it also joins the South West Coast Path, from which you can walk south to Mevagissey, Gorran Haven and beyond, or North to Porthpean, Charlestown, Carlyon Bay and beyond.
Golfers are very well catered for, only just over the horizon at the rear of the villa is St Austell Golf Club, although it does take ten minutes to drive round to the front of the Club through Polgooth, but also within 10 minutes drive is Porthpean GC or Carlyon Bay GC, if that isn't enough for you there are even more courses on the north coast like, St. Enodoc, or Trevose. Local cycle hire is available for all the family.
Beaches abound in this corner of Cornwall, from beautiful small coves to sweeping sandy bays, hunt out the right ones and you can find yourself with the whole beach to yourself, like Hemmick Beach for instance, many of which are dog friendly. The breath-taking beaches of Pentewan and Porthpean are but 5 minutes drive from your door, where guests can find themselves sea-side in no time, paddling in the gentle waters of South Cornwall, or tucking into an indulgently creamy Cornish ice-cream.
For those explorers among you, the iconic tourist attractions of the Eden Project and the Lost Gardens of Heligan are both less than 15 minutes drive from Trewhiddle, here you can find world famous botanical wonders, with an incredible calendar of events to occupy even the most un-outdoorsy family members. At the Eden Project there is even a zip wire for the thrill seekers.
Trewhiddle sits in a very central location on the South Cornwall coast, it is only a short distance from the local fishing villages of Charlestown, Mevagissey and Fowey where you can stock up on mouth watering self catering treats, tuck into freshly caught fish and chips, or pasties and browse the quaint boutiques that line the cobbled streets. Further afield, but still within an hour's drive, can be found Falmouth, St. Mawes, Polperro, or Looe, whilst on the north coast you can explore Padstow, Newquay or Port Isaac the setting for Doc Martin - one week will never be enough!
