The ‘Hidden Cottage’, a quiet country retreat, overlooking field s and gardens.
The Hidden Cottage was built years ago in the grounds of this lovely old country house. The owner loved parties and built this large high ceiling space to accommodate them along with adjoin8ng rooms.. This was then used for dance lessons because of its light and space. This beautifully set, ex dance studio sits quietly at the very rear of a large country house garden, overlooking a field and wood. Quietly hidden from the house, Stables and all aspects of the main property it is a perfect retreat. The immediate impression is of space entering via a hallway(perfect for muddy boots) to a high ceilinged sitting room. The sitting room is open plan running into a kitchen. A lovely pink Smeg fridge dominates the kitchen area and other appliances. There is a round dining table with chairs. A double oven and any China and glass you may need is available. A large sofa/daybed and Lots of comfy seating. Lots of floor space to lounge! A new log burner too. One good sized double bedroom off the sitting room and large bathroom with shower and bath. The other side of the room next to a lovely French Armoire are the steps down to the second hallway originally decorated with maps and pictures. This hall leads to a large twin bedroom overlooking the field and more gardens ... perfect for viewing deer and rabbits! Opposite is a lovely big bathroom with shower and stunning large antique sink fittings. Overall decoration is original and personal showing care and thought. The owners are available in the main house if you need anything as well. This property is comfortable, quirky , spacious and truly relaxing. A great place to relax, work or socialise, It is an unusual and special find! Welcome breakfast goodies are available if requested .

Lovely hidden cottage
Surrounding was spectacular, garden was fabulous, hidden cottage was really English nice decorated. The cleaning could be better.
Sally-Ann and James were extremely nice and helpful.
This property is in a beautiful location but although advertised as sleeping accommodation for six , it is really only suitable for four. There are sofa beds but they proved to be very uncomfortable even for children. There is not much storage space in the kitchen if you plan on self catering. Lovely garden area for children to run around in and lots of little extras provided by the lovely host.( yummy cake , soaps and a record player and vinyl records.)
We spent a lovely weekend at Sally-Ann’s place. An idyllic setting, lovely quirky house and great support and communication from Sally-Ann (including full funding of lost property service and delicious breakfast). Wish we could have stayed longer.
Had a relaxing time with the family over the half term break, enjoying the countryside setting and wildlife views. The owners were very accommodating and the recommendation for the horse riding was excellent!
Lovely summer cottage with quirky thoughtful decor and nice outlook into garden and wooded hillside. Visiting rabbits and wildlife. Welcoming hosts and lemon drizzle cake most appreciated. Kitchen not really adequate for home cooking as regards utensils and sink quirky but not practical.
