Location was perfect and home layout allowed our large family space to spreadout. Main floor was great to hangout and enjoy breakfast before heading to events/outings.
In town for an event and a large group of us stayed at the house. The driveway isn’t marked but Google maps took us right there. We loved the view from the decks and all the space. It was perfect!
The property was amazing and fit all of our needs. We were in the area for a big work project and this cabin allowed every member of our team to have their own bed and space to relax! The outside deck overlooking Trout Lake was gorgeous and the kitchen was perfect for cooking "family meals." Best of all though was working with the hosts! Janice was excellent from the second we reached out to book. Her communication was quick and always very helpful! She was so accommodating! They even expedited cleaning so that we could get in as soon as we arrived to town. I cannot recommend staying here enough!
We were overwhelming happy with this home and all it had to offer. The owners were very communicative and helpful and the view was stunning. We spent a lot of time on the deck overlooking the lake and could never get enough of it. We accessed the lake for a day of boating at Granites Point Resort and that was pricy but ultimately worth it. We enjoyed the short ride into town from the house for last minute groceries and huge ice cream cones at the local pizza and ice cream restaurant. The beds were extra soft and squishy for some but comfortable and the kitchen was very well stocked. The kids enjoyed the many toys st the house to play with too. We would definitely stay here again.
We just stayed at this beautiful cabin for a family reunion. There were 20-22 adults and 1-3 children ages 3 and under. There was plenty of room for everyone to sleep. The 3rd floor loft could be quite warm since it was mid to upper 90’s during the day, but between the ceiling fans, opening windows, fans provided by the property, and fans we brought, everyone slept quite comfortably. It was a beautiful location overlooking Loon Lake and the whole valley. There is a large deck that accommodated almost everyone, including a gas barbecue and gas fire table. We had a lake day at Granite Point Resort which was beautiful but be aware that there is a day-use fee. Would still highly recommend the resort. Hosts were very welcoming, even allowing us to come see the property a couple weeks before our reunion. Hope to stay here again in the future!
Million dollar views, relaxing silence, and the perfect family gathering space
Large modern log cabin with everything you could possibly need for a wonderful stay. Just 12 minutes to the beach resort. Accommodated our large group well! Wonderful responsive host/host family!
This house is a perfect place for a family gathering. Lots of room for everyone, great kitchen, family game room, and wonderful deck to watch sunrise, an the stars at night.
This is an amazing home at an unforgettable location The owner was very easy to contact and work with. You will be amazed when you walk into this property and then again when you get to the deck out side.
Perfect for a family get together, beautiful inside and out. Loved the lodge decor, plenty of seating and the comfy beds. Plenty of space , relaxing deck , lots of thoughtful touches throughout . Janice was great ! Appreciate her attention to detail and easy communication. Definitely recommend!
Beautiful cabin and property. We loved this place and had lots of room for everyone. The place was very clean and had everything we needed. I would highly recommend staying here.
We had family (23 in all) come from Montana, Seattle, Idaho and the Tri-Cities for a family wedding. Being able to all stay in one location made for an awesome family experience. We ended up spending most of our time inside with air conditioning as we were in the middle of the PNW heatwave with temperatures reaching 103. There were plenty of inside activities for everyone with the air hockey, basketball and ping pong table. Fully stocked kitchen with any cooking item needed. Would highly recommend this location for large family gathering. We even experienced deer in the backyard.
Just an incredible property. Views forever, very comfortable. Very well kept.
We had an amazing time at the Loon Lake House. So fun. The back deck alone is worth the price of admission. Owner is very responsive and pleasant. Went out of their way to make sure we were comfortable. The home is well furnished, new oven, nice grill and it has enough room for a small army.
Great stay. Hopefully will be back soon.
Janice was very helpful before to let me know of kitchen appliances (no coffee pot, yes on crock pot, instant pot, multiple griddles) providing us with everything we needed as well as the beach resort very close by. Definitely a great experience!
Loon Lake has been part of the family for over 50 years. It was great to find such a gem of a property where so many memories were made. Of course the view is awesome. Everyone commented on how comfortable the beds were. Only downfall was the lack of a coffee maker. Luckily we had a relative in the area who picked one up and took it home afterwards. Janice was easily reached and helpful.
This cabin was great for our group of 10. It could have easily held 5 or 10 more people before starting to get crowded. The back deck is wonderful, sunny in the morning & shaded in the evening overlooking Loon Lake. The Loon Lake area is pretty out there, so unless you want to play on the lake or go hiking in the area there's not a lot to do. That being said, if your group wants to spend time together in the cabin this is a great option.
Some things to note:
* There is no coffee maker (or there wasn't when we were there). Our group had several french presses, so it wasn't a concern for us.
* If your group is fond of wine or other drinks, the proper glassware is not there. Bring your own.
* Kitchen knives were fairly dull and there were several kitchen tools not present that I would have liked (like a microplane for zesting), so if you're a person who likes to cook, bring tools you can't live without. That being said there are plenty of pots & pans.
All things considered this is a great cabin. We would certainly rent again.
We rented this cabin because of the location, size, and its amenities - It had everything we needed for our large group, and it didn't disappoint. Janice was hospitable and terrific to work with, and she went out of her way to make the process of renting her VRBO go smoothly. We stayed over the July 4th weekend and enjoyed the firework displays on the lake from the back deck for two evenings. The younger people in the group especially enjoyed the game room and family room in the basement. We made very special memories, and I'm grateful for having had the opportunity to stay at this beautiful cabin.

Great home for a large group and Janice was great
We have a large group that spends a long weekend together every January. This home was great for our group and Janice was great to work with. Will definitely be returning. One tip- if going in the winter bring chain for your vehicle. The home is at the top of a hill and several of our vehicles got stuck going up.

Great space for several families
We had a great time with our children and grandchildren - 20 people in all. Plenty of space in each bedroom with a comfortable bed and room for kids on the floor in sleeping bags. The loft is huge and would have been great if the grandchildren were older. It was smokey while were there, but we still had lots of fun with games. We did go down to the lake a couple times. The bees also kept us inside, but the hosts did their best with bee traps. Kind of hard to change mother nature. We appreciated the multiple laundry rooms and refrigerators. The kitchen was large enough for big family cooking and we sat at the bar or large dining table for meals. What a great time we had!

Beautiful View of Loon Lake
We had a wonderful family reunion at this amazing home overlooking Loon Lake. There was plenty of room for 12 grandchildren with their parents to play and sleep. We made lots of fun memories and felt very much at home. It is hard to find a house for so many and we are grateful for you sharing your home with us.

Great place to stay with a large group.
We have a large group of about 25 who have been spending a weekend together every year for more than 10 years. This year we were force to change houses and found this at Loon Lake. We were a little concerned initially because of the size of our group and unknown sleeping arrangements. When we finally arrived we were extremely please with the size and accommodations of the house. Janice was very helpful and accommodating with our group. We are already planning to visit again next year.
