The cottage was amazing. The cottage was very comfortable and had everything we needed. The location was a great base for what we needed for the highlands and the cottage worked great as a nice getaway and a rest for our travels.
We, a four member family, enjoyed every detail of the cottage, such as the very stylish furnitures, paintings, selection of books, boad games and comfortable beds. The owners were very friendly and helpful. We also like the owner's eco-friendly approach. All of these became beautiful memories of our holiday.
This is a lovely and memorable stay, with very thoughtful set up— very comfortable beds, nice towels, fun decor, with history and travel books on the region and games. The layout was challenging for younger children— a big staircase runs the middle and splits at the top. One side has the bathroom. The other side has two bedrooms so in the night the kids needed to navigate those stairs to the toilet. Heavy doors close off the living room and kitchen areas, but behind those doors are delightful rooms. We’d stay again, especially with older kids. Quiet location, lovely hosts next door, helpful— great base to explore more remote parts of the highlands. We didn’t see any tour buses or large groups. That was really wonderful! Recommend!
We loved staying at the property, the location is fantastic, loved the use of in the living room of the old stable horse feeder really was in perfect keeping of the home. Easy to get to many amazing places around the Highlands and Bart and Alex were amazing hosts.
Beautiful cottage and surroundings and a fantastic base for east and west coast
Simply idyllic and the location is superb. Everything is thought of in the cottage and the setting is extremely peaceful. We loved this spot - wild swimming at the falls and the play park set in Scots pine a five-minute cycle away, a more challenging cycle track from the door along Loch Garve to the mountain bike trails at Contin, and a little station on the Inverness to Kyle of Lochalsh line.
We have returned for 5 nights in this beautiful house and are already planning our next trip. The location is perfect, swimming, cycling, dog walks and relaxing in the garden listening to the bird song. The house itself is really well equipped and comfortable. The hosts very helpful and friendly. Thanks for making our stay perfect Alex and Bart. Hope to be back before too long.
Alex and Bart were excellent hosts. The property is in a tranquil location set way back from any sort of main road, making it superbly quiet and an ideal retreat. The cottage has loads of great touches. Would definitely plan another visit.
