This stunning converted parish hall has amazing views over the Moray Firth. Perfect for a couples or family getaway.. This beautiful property never fails to impress, having held the title of ‘Best Conversion of an old building in the UK’, Rathven Parish Hall seamlessly combines modern living with original features. This property offers a magnificent open plan living, dining and kitchen area, all on the first floor to maximise the endless sea views. The warm underfloor heating and wood burner give the property a wonderful cosy feeling, while the huge glass windows allow natural light to fill the room, with an amazing view of the Moray Firth.

The small fishing village of Portessie is situated around 2 miles from the larger town of Buckie. It sits amongst other stunning coastal towns and forms part of the Walk Highlands route. These walks offer ever-changing and dramatic views along the Moray Firth shorelines.
There is a popular coffee shop nearby, and in the larger town of Buckie you will find all the local amenities you could need for your stay. Visit one of the many fish restaurants and enjoy the fresh catch of the day, or learn about the area at the Fishing Heritage Centre.

Take a trip to the nearby village of Portknockie and marvel at the natural sea arch of Bow Fiddle Rock. Carry on a little further to Cullen and sample the famous Cullen Skink Soup, a warming Scottish dish made of smoked haddock, onions and potatoes.

If you like a round of golf, then you will be spoilt for choice in this area, with several courses very easily accessible. Portessie is also very well placed to enjoy the regions Whisky Distilleries, with many in this area of Moray and Aberdeenshire.

A fun family day put can be had at Spey Bay, 9 miles away, where you can take lovely walks and enjoy a visit to the Scottish Dolphin Centre too. The larger town of Elgin is 18 miles away and has everything from parks to museums, providing something for everyone. Rathven Parish Church Hall is not only a stunning property, it also has the perfect position from which to enjoy all this area of Moray has to offer. Beach 700 yards. This property is stunning both in design and decoration, equipped and furnished to the highest standard.every thing you could possibly need, excellent WiFi and free- sat tv along with netflix.breathtaking view of the sea and very snug with under floor heating, we all loved it!!!
