About this property
in. gracia charming studio - city center - grace district - alfama
In. Gracia is a cozy little studio located in one of the most typical Lisbon neighborhoods - Bairro da Graça, on a hill and next to Alfama, with its fado restaurants, and Mouraria known for its trendy and cool bars.
The location is walking distance (the best way to get to know the city) to most of Lisbon's finest districts including Rossio and Baixa (downtown), the city center and the castle (Castelo de S. Jorge).
The studio is right next to the famous "Belvedere of Grace" (3 minutes walking distance), the best viewpoint to enjoy the sunset and get a panoramic view of the castle, the city and the river. Nearby is also the Garden of Grace (a small park) and the Lady of Mount viewpoint, also famous for the city view.
Lisbon's famous flea market - Flea Market - held every Tuesday and Saturday and where you can find antiques, music books, clothes and more, is right across the corner.
The apartment is set on the groundfloor of a typical 1930s style typical building between the Church of S. Vicente de Fora (church), “The Voice of the Worker” (the famous association and School) and Largo da Graça and is perfect for a couple who wants to discover Lisbon and enjoy the city as a local.
It's also really close to the National Pantheon (around 500 meters) and Santa Apolonia Station.
From the street where the studio is located you can see the Tagus River and the other bank. During the day you hear the children who play on the school playground across the street, and by night the ambiance of DAMAS, one of the coolest Lisbon restaurants-bar.
The neighborhood has great restaurants of traditional Portuguese food, cafes, local shops and small grocery stores, with fresh fruit and vegetables. There is also a Pharmacy in close to the apartment.
The area attracts young artists and families who choose to live here for its location, facilities and cultural ambiance.
The studio is also well served with public transports. Buses and the famous 28 tram, which covers the tourist tour of the hills of Lisbon are less than 150 m from the apartment and will take you around the city. Nearby in Almirante Reis or Martim Moniz you will find metro stations.
Access to the Lisbon South bay, famous for it's fish restaurants (in Cacilhas, and Porto Brandão) can also be done by boat very easily.
Public Parking is available on the streets around the apartment, but is paid. If you travel by plane to Lisbon airport, youre only 15 minutes by taxi or Uber.
I will always endeavor to quickly reply to all your questions.
As soon as you confirm your reservation, I will be in contact to prepare your arrival and welcome you.
*** IMPORTANT INFO: In June, Lisbon has its typical popular festivities of Santo Antonio (Saint Anthony). The eighborhood where this apartment is located is very busy and loud, with its daily fests. It's unique opportunity to live the city but be aware it will be a bit noisy ***
