Great little home in the mountains. Wonderful area, very close to overlook and hiking. If you are looking for total quiet and seclusion, the cabin and backyard are private enough, but the home itself is close to the road. This didn't interfere with our having a great get away. Thank you!

Great little house
Everything was great there. It was perfect size for our group of four people. The only problem we ran into is the ceiling in the second bedroom was a little low maybe just taller than 6 foot. Everything else was great. The hot tube area has a small bar that you can sit around. Both beds were very comfortable and had a lot of room.

Our stay was disappointing, we only stayed 3 nights not the 4 that we booked and paid for.
The view from the front porch is beautiful, nestled in the mountains but no lake view. Located on a steep road between 2 curves, the driveway is very steep, close to the road and a difficult turn around for a mid to large size vehicle.
The home was only surface clean, a mice problem was very evident with mice droppings and the odor of dead mice. We contacted the owner immediately and she assured us a pest control company had been there the day before our arrival and the problem had been taken care of. Took awhile for the odor to improve but the mouse droppings continued.
We did not use the back yard amenities (hottub, etc) as they were not inviting, we would have needed to tidy up the area and the trash cans had not been emptied.
Overall it was not a comfortable, relaxing experience. Lisa was at first very nice and responsive, and realize she had health issues, but the property could have been better maintained. We would not recommend this rental.

Hello Im Lisa. I've moved to Nashville from Atlanta in 2000. I've owned a tax consulting, preparation and representation firm since 1991. I downsized and moved into a condo in downtown Nashville one mile from my office about 1 1/2 years ago. My son says "Mom if I were you I would put your properties on VRBO". So here I am. I have 2 sons and 2 grand-babies that live close by. I work a lot so I'm not home as much as I would like to be so downtown is convenient. After my son introduced me to VRBO, I realized a lot of my neighbors and tax clients were precipitating in the program as well. It has been a great experience. It allows me to escape to mountains and Cordell Hull lake in Carthage and be on vacation in my own townhome in Hendersonville on Old Hickory Lake as well. I have hosted some amazing people and formed great friendships that will last a lifetime. VRBO has been a blessing to me. It is the best thing since sliced bread! My motto is Seize the Day!! or die regretting what you missed.
Why they chose this property
I had a choice when I divorced. I could sell my dream property or I could remodel it and VRBO it. By choosing option 2 I can still enjoy it when it is not rented. I love love love this property. It is an Angel's View.
What makes this property unique
Perfect for Musicians, Sportsman, Boaters, Newlyweds! Not only do I enjoy the fresh air, mountain and lake views while relaxing around the fire; but I also love soaking in the hot tub while stargazing and enjoying the wildlife all around me. Renting a pontoon at the marina and capturing the picturesque mountains framing the beautiful lake makes for an unforgettable experience. Beaches, parks, hiking trails, marina and restaurants are nearby. Come and experience "Tennessee's best kept secret"!
