Fall Colors & Quiet

Nicely appointed, quiet, very comfortable, had everything we needed. The view from the back yard was many Aspens, along with fire weed and assorted grasses. The fall colors were beautiful. We enjoyed being away from town and typical hotels. We highly recommend staying here.

Superb house

In a very quiet environment but close to Whitehorse. Comfortable house, furnished and decorated with taste, nothing is missing for a pleasant stay. In addition, communication with Thobias is very easy. We will happily return on another visit to Whitehorse.

Peaceful and very clean

We had a lovely peaceful time in Whitehorse. The house is near walking trails. The house is spotless. The nearby hot spring will reopen any minute now. One thing we found frustrating was that the gas fireplace in the living room is no longer in use (mentioned in the listing, so it shouldn’t be a surprise). It would feel much more cozy if you could use it, I hope that the owners decide to reconnect it.

Week in Whitehorse

Amazing, private, clean property. Tobi was a great host and had excellent communication, even calling us the 1st night to let us know the northern lights were visible. The home is perfectly located to view the lights, plus has a giant wall of windows allowing you to watch from inside. Walking distance to the wildlife preserve and hot springs (sadly the springs were closed for renos). Our group had a fantastic time in this beautiful home and would stay here again if we came back to Whitehorse.

Spotlessly clean, light filled home in gorgeous location

We had a wonderful stay at Tobi and Lynn’s place. Their attention to detail in outfitting the house is awesome. The place was spotlessly clean with comfortable furnishings and beds. It even had a deep bathtub as well as a large walk-in shower. Lovely to be able to walk out the door onto trails and —bonus— Bean North is a ten minute walk away. There is a fire pit in the backyard and a gas fireplace in the living room. All the creature comforts are there. One magical extra: a few minutes’ walk from the house is a stream with hot water an indication of why the Takhini hot springs complex was located nearby. (They are currently closed but are being redeveloped into a resort complex.) We are already plotting our return!

Northern Excursion

We loved the property. The location was new, well-decorated, clean and had all of the amenities we were looking for. We loved the location and our stay and would highly recommend it for anyone travelling to Whitehorse.

Winter Wonderland

This is a very nice, new place that is well equipped and furnished. We were two couples, so we enjoyed having our own bedrooms and bathrooms during our 5 night winter stay. The place was an easy drive to/from Whitehorse and easy to locate based on helpful directions. It is clear that exciting changes and growth are underway in the area in and around the Takhini Hot Springs. Tobi and Lynn were there to welcome and greet us, as well as to answer questions and provide advice and assistance on local activities. We enjoyed the hot springs (only a short walk), the trail, a scenic drive to Haines Junction, the Yukon Wildlife Preserve, and a half day of dog sledding. The night of our arrival, Tobi explained that the gas fireplace wasn't operational because of a delay with parts, but he made a special effort to have it functioning by our second day, which was much appreciated. Great place to stay! Friendly, helpful owners! It has our recommendation.

Perfect Place to Stay in Whitehorse

This property is well located 25 minutes from the lights and commotion of the city, yet a short walk from the Takhini Hot Springs and the Nature Preserve, both of which are worth a visit. The house is very comfortable, well stocked with things like cookware and towels, and everything is spotless. Tobias was very easy to communicate with and accommodating. I would definitely recommend a stay here!
