La Giraudasse, beautiful and spacious 17th century manor house with garden, in a quiet location

La Giraudasse is a guest house, rented as a gîte during the summer, located in the village of Soulatge, near the castle of Peyrepertuse, halfway between the castles of the Cathar country of Quéribus, and the gorges of Galamus. It’s an ancient house from the 17th century, tastefully restored, comfortable with a very high ceiling and very nice volumes, naturally air-conditioned with its stone walls, 80 cm thick, 4 bedrooms, terrace and garden, in an authentic and preserved setting, 9 people max.

River swimming 10 minutes' walk away, in the "Le Verdouble" river, under a charming old little bridge, in a rural setting. Canyoning and swimming in the Gorges de Galamus or the Gorges du Verdouble, 10 minutes by car, in very beautiful natural places.
1 hour by car from the beaches of the Mediterranean Sea.


Ideal with family or friends, discovering the castles of the Cathar country of Peyrepertuse and Quéribus, lots of hiking or mountain biking in our magnificent Corbières massif made of small mountains and scrubland.


DESCRIPTION

Old “maison de maître” from the 17th century, tastefully restored, comfortable with a very high ceiling and very beautiful volumes.
On the ground floor, a dining room with a very long wooden table and a living room which opens onto the terrace and the 750 m2 garden, as well as a large country kitchen with a large 5-burner cooking range and an electric oven. Very wide wooden stairs lead you to the 1st floor where there are three bedrooms, each with its own private bathroom (shower, sink and WC): two bedrooms with double bed (160 cm), facing south with a very pretty mountain view and a 3-bed room, north side, with view of the village fountain. On the terrace on the ground floor, a double bedroom, with its private bathroom. The house, with its 80 cm thick walls, is naturally air-conditioned.
"La Giraudasse" has the advantage of being both in the village and on the edge of the village due to its orientation. You can enjoy the friendliness of the village and also the tranquility of the house, which is located on the edge of the village with its south orientation and its view of the gardens and the mountain. Its 750 m2 garden is surrounded by bamboo and Leyland fir trees.
The village of Soulatgé is a small, authentic, quiet and preserved village of 130 inhabitants, with a small lively local market on Wednesday evenings.
