Our house is colorful, eclectic, and full of local, ethnic, and global arts and crafts. The house offers a living room with stone fireplace, eat-in kitchen, 2 bedrooms including master bedroom and guest bedroom with full baths, a hobby room/artist studio, an upstairs writer's studio with red rock views, washer/dryer, and private grounds with sitting areas and hammock. Enjoy this extremely peaceful and quiet spot, with flat roof and telescope for dark sky star gazing. The house offers wireless broadband internet and satellite television.

We're around the corner from the Chapel of the Holy Cross, within easy walking distance of hiking trailheads and off-road biking trails.

Rented as a furnished vacation rental with a three-night minimum, this is a perfect locale for off road biking, red rock hiking, writing, painting, photographing, exploring Sedona, Jerome, Flagstaff, and the Grand Canyon, and just musing and relaxing.

Enjoyable stay

We had 3 adults staying for 5 nights. The location was quiet yet close to the action. Several outdoor sitting areas and the second story patio is especially wonderful. The house is nicely laid out and it has everything you may need. We cooked several meals and found everything we needed. I would recommend this property to others.

Sedona getaway

It was wonderful. We enjoyed the warmth and embrace of this beautiful home after long hikes on some of the most beautiful trails we had ever seen. It’s in a really easy to reach, but quiet neighborhood.Everything you need in the kitchen, and to just relax. Thank you!

Sedona Serenity

The home had so much personality and we loved everything about it. The location was in a quiet neighborhood close to many hiking trails and beautiful red rock landmarks. We enjoyed the inside of the home as much as the many outdoor spaces. The rooftop opened up to amazing red rock vistas and the star gazing at night was phenomenal!

Wonderful views, decor, and comforts

We all enjoyed our stay a lot. The beds were comfy, the towels soft, any extras needed were provided, and the reading materials were so interesting! The location was wonderful, and the house really has a great style, global influences, good vibes, practical luxuries. We stayed at high season, so it was a bit expensive, but well worth the splurge.

A mom daughter trip.

I was in Sedona 6 months before so when my daughter picked Sedona for a trip I was on board. Wanted to rent a VRBO this Time instead of a hotel. This house was beyond perfect. Is was so peaceful. The property was so relaxing. The house beautiful and Frances was great. We had no problems . Already looking forward to the next time we go there.what do ever.

Excellent location in beautiful neighborhood

Beautiful home with lots of personality. Multiple outdoor seating areas. Quick drive to get into town, but finding a parking space in town or at the trail heads can be challenging. Would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful

The location is really very nice. It could be a problem getting in and out of during peak season because it is so close to the Chapel and traffic does back up leading up there. The grounds of the house are beautiful. The views of the outside are so pretty. We had what we needed during our stay regarding toiletries, cleaning, laundry, etc. When needed, the response time was great from owners. As a family of four wanting to just hang out, we found that the furniture wasn’t very comfortable. We had an overall great time. Thank you.

Perfect stay

This is a beautiful house in a gorgeous location. Loved being able to walk to red rock hikes. All the outdoor space so beautiful, spent so much time on the roof deck. House has everything you need and is very welcoming and homey. Was the perfect place to spend a month in Sedona.

Great place to spend a week

House was in a great location. Very nice neighborhood. Was able to walk/ run each morning before we went exploring. The espresso machine was an awesome touch. Great communication with the owner. Highly recommend.

Spectacular home in a spectacular setting

This was our second stay at this Sedona property, and we chose it for 2023 because we enjoyed it so much in 2022. Overall, this house impresses with its comfortable layout, its bird friendly backyard, and its breathtaking views of the red rock formations.

This property lived up to all we expected and more! The host was very helpful in getting us oriented. Location is amazing! Very comfortable home away from home. We spent much time on the roof deck stargazing. Enjoy a walk in the neighborhood or hike in the Red Rocks! Definitely recommend a trip to Sedona and stay with Frances!

Secluded oasis in Sedona

Excellent location, beautiful yard with lots of privacy. House is comfortable and decorated with interesting art from around the world. We enjoyed stargazing from the second floor deck and watching a variety of birds visiting the back yard. Perfect location close to Sedona and world class hiking. A nice quiet retreat after a busy day. Host Frances was very helpful.

Conveniently located Sedona getaway.

The "Professor's" was an excellent location for 2 couples or a family to get away for a few days. The location was perfect - almost equidistant between Sedona and Oak Creek - with great places to eat nearby, easy access to great hikes and very quiet. Several trails are within easy walking distance. We especially enjoyed seeing the wildlife. Javelina visited almost every evening and were even there one morning. Deer, quail and even a bobcat dropped by! The house itself was perfect with different sitting areas for reading and chatting, very comfortable beds in separated bedrooms - each with private bathroom - and a marvelous rooftop patio for enjoying the surroundings, star gazing and watching the wildlife. The kitchen is small but cleverly arranged with space for 2 to work. We all really enjoyed our stay.

Like visiting an interesting friend

The description is accurate; the location is fantastic - so close to trails that you don't need to battle Sedona traffic to get to or fight for parking spots. The house is beautiful, immaculate and tasteful. My son and I are voracious readers and enjoying browsing the library. We were tickled to find books by my colleagues! The upstairs writing studio is fabulous and my husband enjoyed the sun there. The bathrooms are well stocked with high quality products and you can leave you giant shampoo and conditioner at home! A note of caution: the floor in the main living areas/dining are all beautiful stone but cold in the winter! As a New Yorker used to overheated apartments, I wished I had brought my uggs or slippers and cozy sweaters to wear in the house. I was freezing!

Serene Sedona Getaway

I thoroughly enjoyed Frances' home in Sedona. It's designed in such a way that there are "pockets" all over the home where you or your family and friends can steal away for quiet moments. The outside has beautiful seating areas located all throughout the property, and the inside living room is an oasis of calm. Well-appointed kitchen and bathrooms, I could have left all my toiletries at home! Easy walking distance to Church of the Holy Cross and easy driving distance to Bell Rock. Never went out to eat, got all our groceries locally and enjoyed the kitchen. Spent most evenings gazing at stars on the roof.

The property is a delight: the upstairs deck (to view Sedona's red rocks and dark skies) and the hammock (to read in the afternoon) are two of my favorite places on the planet.
