Holiday home in old olive mill with large garden and 3 terraces

Ever wanted to sleep in an ancient Italian olive mill? Do not imagine a narrow high house and mill winds! The 1817 olive press and the millstone driven by a donkey were in a vaulted space. In the vault is an open kitchen with a dining table. In the same room there is a seat for relaxing. Romantic and comfortable.

The Olive Mill is luxuriously furnished with a. Nespresso machine, dishwasher, washing machine, dryer, stereo, CD and DVD player, and satellite TV with Dutch channels including Ned 1, 2 and 3. WIFI internet is available at the bar on the piazza at 100m walking distance. There is a range of cooking utensils, cutlery, plates.

In the Olive Mill there are two bathrooms with WC: the first bathroom with shower and toilet is located in the Olijfmolen itself. There is also the washing machine and tumble dryer.

On the other side of the narrow street (footpath of 2 meters wide) is the bedroom with the second bathroom. This bathroom is spectacularly built against the Airole rock wall! Here you will find a bath, shower and toilet. There are good beds with comfortable mattresses. There are both hanging and closets to store items and clothes.

Towels, linens and bathrobes are provided.

Through the patio doors of the Olive Mill you enter the outdoor space. The narrow, large garden of over 50 meters includes a total of 3 terraces, including a dining table, a lounge set, sun beds, barbecue, and an outdoor shower. In the garden you can pick grapes, plums, cherries and apples as soon as the harvest depends on the trees. In February the view is colored yellow from the mimosa trees.

Wunderbar

Die Wohnung ist zwei geteilt und super eingerichtet. Ein kurzer Weg über die Straße und man liegt auch schon im Bett, welches sehr gemütlich war. Der Ort ist wunderschön, zum abendlichen Getränk trifft man sich auf dem Dorfplatz in der Happy Day Bar und lässt es sich gut gehen. Rund um Airole gibt es tolle Wanderwege, wir haben einige erwandert. Die Temperaturen in diesem August haben es uns nicht leicht gemacht. Zum Glück gab es zwischendurch fast immer einen kleinen Bachlauf worin man sich gut abkühlen konnte um den Rest des Weges zu bestreiten. Airole ist immer wieder eine Reise wert, ob zum wandern, radfahren, baden oder dem Nichtstun.

Verrassend, comfortabel en sfeervol verblijf

Sfeervol verblijf met bijzondere slaapkamer/ badkamer: verrassend, moet je zelf ervaren, Heerlijke tuin met diverse delen om ontspannen een boek te lezen en/of te zonnen. Prachtig plaatsje met veel wandelmogelijkheden en treinverbinding is een bonus!

De Olijfmolen is een mooi en disign ingericht huis en van alle gemakken voorzien. In de grote tuin zijn 3 terrassen aangelegd; 1 bij de woonkamer (met eethoek), 1 in het midden (met lounchset) en 1 aan het eind van de tuin (met 2 ligstoelen).Alle buitenstoelen en lounchset kunnen voorzien worden van kussens. Wel is het verstandig om je goed in te smeren met anti-muggengelei, of spray. Voor 's-avonds is het van belang dat je de anti-muggenkaarsen aansteekt.Beide gedeelten (woon- en slaapgedeelte) zijn voorzien van sanitaire voorziening. Een kleine opmerking is het gemis van voldoende hang mogelijkheid voor je kleding, maar de vriendelijke beheerder kan hier voor zorgen; hij hanteerd het uitgangspunt .. u roept en ik maak het in orde.. Het huis ligt in een authentiek dorpje, waar enkele restaurants en barretjes zijn. In de omgeving zijn diverse mooie, maar wel uitdagende wandelroutes. Het strand van Ventemiglia is goed te bereiken (ca. 20 min. rijden); het is een kiezelstrand m.a.w. geen zand op je lichaam, als je weer huiswaarts keert. Andere bezienswaardige plaatsen zijn binnen redelijke afstand, zals bv Menton.

vakantie op hoog niveau

Wij, mijn dochter en ik, hebben een heerlijke week doorgebracht in de Olijfmolen. Een heel comfortabele vakantiewoning, smaakvol ingericht, harmonieuze kleuren, alles aanwezig wat je zou kunnen wensen. Een geweldige tuin in drie niveaus. En wat mij bijzonder aansprak: een monument zorgvuldig en liefdevol aangepast aan moderne eisen. De omgeving is prachtig, authentiek Italiaans en vriendelijk. Alles dichtbij: zee en strand, middeleeuwse stadjes en een prachtige natuur. De beheerder is vriendelijk en behulpzaam, de service goed. De Olijfmolen is een echte aanrader. Ik kom zeker terug.

Wederom fantastisch

Dit jaar hebben we voor de 2e keer op rij gebruik gemaakt van de olijfmolen. en ook dit jaar was het weer geweldig. het sfeertje, het huis, het dorp en de omgeving zijn gewoon geweldig. dit is een absolute aanrader.

Bijzondere locatie en een zeer sfeervol huis

Dit bijzondere huis ligt in een prachtig authentiek Italiaans dorpje. Compleet en goed ingericht. Espresso, pizza en een goed Italiaans restaurant binnen 100 meter. Wij hebben er van genoten!

Prachtplek in een leuk dorpje.

Erg sfeervol ingericht en mooi gesitueerd in een steegje in het oude bergdorpje Airole. Van vrijwel alle gemakken voorzien. Prima bedden en in zo'n grot-omgeving is het heerlijk slapen en kom je volledig tot rust. Veel Hollanders in het dorp, plus een aantal Fransen, Britten en Duitsers maar een gezellige sfeer. Er zijn vooral in het weekend activiteiten verzorgd door de Airolezen. Kortom: aanrader!

Ontspannen verblijf in modern appartement in oud dorp.

In gezellige dorpje Airole een heerlijk verblijf gehad in de Olijfmolen. Prachtige woonkamer met goede keuken en een mooie tuin om te verblijven. De slaapkamer is heel bijzonder, erg rustig met een goed bed en mooie badkamer. In het dorpje goede restaurants een winkel met alle eerste levensbehoefte. Dit alles op 15 minuten van zee en met mooie wandelingen rondom.

Lovely holiday in a beautiful old olive mill

Airole is a delightful ancient Italian village set in a splendid mountainous region 20 minutes inland from the Ligurian coast. It is friendly and safe and it is great to meet with the local people and experience relaxing rural Italian village life in the cafes, grocer's shop and restaurants - a real feeling of 'getting away from it all'. The local area is full of amazing walks in forests and along rivers and the wildlife we saw was varied and fascinating. The Olive Mill is an amazing conversion of an old olive mill and retains the feel of this although it has been very well modernised. It is clean and well-maintained and a local person helpfully acts as a caretake.r The way that it is set into the rocks that form the village is very interesting and experiencing the bath in what feels like a cave is an unusual and surprising delight. The attached garden is also lovely - relaxing, private and well-equipped and planted with citrus trees and the like. The kitchen and dining areas are both well-equipped and tastefully designed. An unusual feature is the bedroom which is actually across the alleyway and in the cave-like part of the house which makes it fun. The only minor drawback to this is the tendency for the room to feel damp but this remedied by using a fan that soon dispels the problem. Overall, we found the property to be well-managed and the hosts efficient and friendly to deal with. All the sites and places to visit in the area are excellent but we would advise enquiring about the goings-on in the town centre of Ventimiglia before driving through it as we encountered a very long traffic queue on a sale day when we only wanted to pass through it and were very delayed. Otherwise, as a town if has an excellent food market! We would certainly consider returning to this destination and thoroughly enjoyed our sojourn at the Olive Mill.

Een prachtig huis en een heerlijke slaapkamer

We hebben 2 heerlijke weken gehad. De Olijfmolen is ons echt prima bevallen. Wat een prachtig huis en een heerlijke slaapkamer. Helemaal goed. Airole is een echt leuk dorpje, stil en rustig. Klein winkeltje, handig. Voor de boodschappen gingen we naar Ventimiglia. Dagje Monaco, dagje Nice maar vooral ook lekker op de loungebank met een boek.

Zeer nette, comfortabele en unieke vakantiewoning.

De woning is in werkelijkheid zoals beschreven op de site en de foto's geven een juist beeld van de woning. Het was er zeer net en in de slaapkamer was hét koel ondanks de hoge temperaturen overdag. Voorzie zeker muggenmelk voor buiten op het terras. Airole is een authentiek dorp waar je ook contact hebt met de locale bevolking. We hadden een leuke week in Airole. Johan

Romantiskt och modernt

Vackert inrett olivkvarn med exponerade klippblock i badrum. Vi tillbringade där en vecka i början av maj. Inne var det svalt, men man njöt av solen i det vackra trädgården, där man kunde plocka citroner direkt från träd... Byn var liten och mysig, med trevliga restauranger och kaffebar vid torget. Runt om fantastiska vandringsleder och fina utflyktsmål. Verkligen värd en rekommendation!

Prachtige week gehad in het mooie Airole! De Olijfmolen voldeed aan al onze verwachtingen. Heel romantische plek.... En met zo'n tuin en terrassen een feest om te verblijven. Wij komen zeker terug!
