A family Christmas break

Staying here for Christmas with our family was a very happy time. As soon as we walked we saw it was decorated with a lighted tree and decorations. Our young grandchildren were excited with the play area with toys and a playhouse. Everything was clean and tidy the bedrooms were comfortable and plenty of space for clothes etc. the hot tub was very relaxing and a bonus to have there. The only thing with the oven was that for some reason it kept turning off but we did manage to get things cooked eventually. I would definitely recommend this to our friends as there is plenty of room and space for us not to be on top of each other.

Lovely cosy holiday home

We were so pleased with this house, it was like home from home. It was lovely that it was decorated for Xmas too. Our little boy who is 2 loved the playroom too. An absolute godsend for us! Will definitely be back !

Delightful very child friendly house...

Excellent amenities, everything you could wish for to have a great family break from grandparents down to little ones! The playroom was such a hit, so many toys, you really don't need to take any with you! The house is equipped to a very high standard but still has a lovely comfortable feel about it. The garden is all enclosed so no safety worries. The open plan living downstairs is perfect, bedrooms and bathrooms all great. I would highly recommend the property for family group holidays. A gem of a find!

Malt house

Rather cluttered kitchen. One dinner plate was still covered in the dried remains of the last occupants last meal! Too many furry adornments; throws, rugs etc. A very nice master bedroom ensuite but would have loved a shower instead of the bath which had no facility for a shower. 4 days before our arrival, the agent informed us that the owners were having a new hot tub installed and that the workmen would be working in the garden from 8am on the Monday morning....not the sort of intrusion I require, especially when I have paid so much. The workmen never arrived but I did not appreciate the anticipated eventuality.

Wonderful week

The Malthouse was a wonderful place for the whole family to be together after covid restrictions had made it impossible for 18 months. There were 6 adults and a toddler. The layout meant the toddler could be watched playing in the well stocked playroom while we prepared dinner and we could have a conversation with those in the sitting room. It took the toddler a few days to discover the games room so they enjoyed some gaming! The garden was a delight for everyone...the toddler loved the playhouse, slide and swing and the adults made good use of the bbq and hot tub. The welcome hamper was appreciated too! The Malthouse was well located for the beach, Sandringham, Holkham hall, Norfolk Lavender etc....we didn't scratch the surface of what the area had to offer. We are really looking forward to returning!

Fantastic house in Norfolk

We havd just had a fabulous stay at The Malthouse , the house has everything you need for a family holiday. The property itself is perfect and our grandchildren really loved the playhouse and the older one the xbox. The garden has a swing, slide and playhouse which you might not see from the photos. The hot tub was clean and although previous reviews stated otherwise we had no issues. The gas bbq was a real asset. The ensuite to the master bedroom is gorgeous and all of the bedrooms beautifull especially the children's room. The kitchen is amazing and has everything you could possibly need. And there's a huge tv in the lounge as well as one in the playroom and one in the snug with the xbox. Dersingham is only a short drive to the beaches and we had a lovely day at Sandringham. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend The Malthouse and would love to return one day.

Excellent house for a family holiday

Super house for a large family. The addition of the play room for the little ones was very well received ! Dersingham has some good local facilities but you need to travel a bit further afield for good beaches. The instructions for the key safe needs amending as it is not on the left of the rear doors, otherwise I would have no hesitation recommending this lovely property.

Brilliant for small children

Lovely property to stay in with comfortable living and sleeping areas. We chose the property as it was child friendly. Great to be able to cook while watching the little ones in the play room or outside in the garden. Within walking distance to a co-op and local farm shop for everything you needed.

Everything we needed

The Malthouse is definitely one of a kind, it had everything we needed to take our young family on holiday. The owner has thought of absolutely everything you could possibly need from a playroom full of toys to a baby bath! The house really felt like a home from home. The photos don't show much of the garden but it is huge and has a swing, slide and Wendy house for children. It's the perfect house in the perfect location for a family holiday. We will definitely go back again!

Excellent for very young children but lacked support for hot tub.

The house was very well equipped with toys and other small children attractions like a slide and wendy house inside and out. It lacks small items like rinse aid and no spare rubbish bags as that was an issue as both bins outside were full to the top. When the hot tub failed we were just told to clean the filter which was no easy task as no instructions were left and despite it alleged to be cleaned weekly it was filthy and when restarted oozed a green film. It then failed again and there is no support to rectify the problem which is disappointing in view of the high rental cost and it being an attraction which contributed to the decision to hire. We enjoyed our stay as had a nice garden with outside chairs and table but attention to the smaller details would have resulted in a higher rating. With reservations as noted on hire recommendation and for those who want a facility which is young child friendly then it is a place for you.
