Inviting 2-Bed Cottage in Newcastle Emlyn
Nestled in the heart of West Wales, surrounded by open countryside and with spectacular views of the Preseli Mountains, Comfort Cottage, a cosy, rural retreat, is your chance to get away from it all and enjoy a secluded holiday where you and your dogs will be warmly welcomed by your hosts Joyce & Alan.
Lovingly updated, this traditional single story stone cottage is fully equipped, ensuring you have a relaxing, nurturing setting for your holiday retreat.
The space
Comfort Cottage is filled with a sense of peace and tranquility, with virtually no light pollution the night skies are awesome, as are the sunsets. Surrounded by open countryside, the cottage is nestled in a secluded, sheltered setting which offers stunning views of The Preseli Mountains. Circling red kites are daily visitors, along with buzzards and abundant wildlife.
The pretty little market town of Newcastle Emlyn is just 5 miles away and has many unique shops, its own attic theatre and a good choice of places to eat. In the centre of the town are the castle ruins surrounded by a circular river walk. Situated midway between Cardigan and Carmarthen, makes it the perfect base from which to explore the beautiful coastlines of Carmarthenshire, Ceredigion and Pembrokeshire.
The property has 2 twin beds and 1 double sofa bed.
Guest access
Although Comfort Cottage has its own private, enclosed patio garden with seating and a BBQ, guests are welcome to enjoy other areas of the grounds. For the animal lovers among you not only are your own dogs welcome, we have alpacas, ducks, geese, hens, dogs and cats of our own.
Other things to note
There are lots of places to walk nearby, including forest trails. Cardigan is about 20 minutes away and offers many interesting places to see and visit like the Guildhall Market, Cardigan Castle which has recently been completely renovated. Also Cardigan Bay where you can go on dolphin-spotting boat trips. There are several lovely beaches locally such as Poppet Sands, Gwbert and Mwnt.
