This is an amazing house that is a short walk (less than half a mile) from the beach (Seawall) and Pleasure Pier. The house is beautifully furnished and has a huge lawn with great landscaping. The location is also close to many of Galveston's attractions and restaurants. Capacity is limited to 8 people max to maintain the quality of the house and allow you maximum enjoyment. New expanded Patio and additional grilling area complete with a Picnic style heavy duty grill!

Best location ever!

Just got back from our vacation with family in Galveston. What a beautiful, historic city! This house is so well located right in the middle of historic houses, only a couple of blocks from the sea wall, close to great restaurants and things to do! Communication with the hosts was always fast and easy! Highly recommend! :)

Awesome house & great location

Property was exactly as described and perfect for our family! Dog loved the big yard and it’s only a couple of blocks from the beach. Parking was plentiful and easy!

Lovely Home for a Galveston Getaway

This property has a beautiful, huge front lawn. Gorgeous soft grass! We loved the upstairs seating area. We used it as a gaming table. Nice, comfy couch downstairs with a good amount of seating. The location is perfect, and just a couple of blocks from the beach and Murdoch's! Host responded to all my questions quickly! I would definitely stay here again!

We were there for a short time, but it was nice for our extended family. Our boys enjoyed the bunk beds. Due to it being a tourney weekend on the beach we drove to get around no walking for us, yet the Pier is close. We did like the fact it was in between the Pier and Downtown.

Cute Beach House, Would Recommend!

Cute house with plenty of room for a large family, and within walking distance of the beach. Easy and quick communication with the host. Though it is possible to park a large vehicle through the back gate in the alley, it's a tight fit - street parking is easy and safe. Would recommend staying here!

Family time at the Lost Bayou

We were very happy with the cleanliness and comfort of the Lost Bayou. Our beds were very comfortable. Close to everything, short walk or drive anywhere. TK replied quickly to answer any questions and even called us after we met to give us additional sightseeing spots. He was very helpful and accommodating. We made some very good memories there and had many laughs.

Wonderful property in great location! Great for families!!

We visited Galveston for our son's Showstopper Gulf Coast Finals competition. This house was perfect for us. It's located in a cute neighborhood, with a large shady yard. It was very nicely decorated, with spacious rooms, and was well-stocked with towels, cooking utensils, and toiletries. The beds were comfortable. The A/C was nice and cold. It is situated close to The Strand, Pleasure Pier, and the beach. The only thing I have to say in any way negative is my son found empty chip and cracker packages in one of the upstairs drawers (loft area). So maybe have the cleaning crew do an extra check there. My kids LOVED the loft area upstairs!! Everything else was very clean! All appliances were in great working order. An idea: a Keurig could be added for my K-cup loving son, who had to make do with his mom's (delicious) drip coffee in the mornings. :) The owner was super friendly and quick to respond to any messages. We had a great time and would definitely stay here again!! Thank you!

Great house in a quiet neighborhood near the beach!

My family decided to take a last minute trip to Galveston and we found this house to be just what we needed!!! The bedrooms were spacious and having a second bathroom upstairs was perfect! My kids loved the room with the twin beds! The beds and linens were super comfortable also! The washer and dryer in the downstairs bath was very useful as we could wash our wet towels and swimsuits and we were able to return home from vacation with most of our clothes clean! We had very few issues but when we did the owner responded instantly to our questions and needs. The property sits off the road and the shaded yard makes you feel like you are in a secluded retreat. We were able to walk to the beach from the house, even with kids. Parking is terrible at the public beach area and this was a plus for this property. If you do not have a compact car you will not be able to park in the concrete drive next to the house as in the picture. The owner was nice enough to let us open the front gate and park on the grass inside the gate since we had two SUVs. The kitchen was well stocked and dishes provided were nice. The only things we could have used in the kitchen were some plastic plates and cups for the kids. This is a great property and we will definitely look into staying here again when we return to Galveston for a family trip!!

Great house and location

The house was great for our group. My family of five stayed upstairs and the grandparents remained downstairs. Great location and close to everything we needed and visited. Owner was very responsive to our needs when issues arose and stayed in communication throughout our trip.

Convenient, Clean, Comfortable

The host was very responsive. The home sits back off of the street with a beautiful lawn in front so street noises were not an issue and yet the place is very convenient to the Seawall and all it has to offer. It’s closeness to The Galvez was a plus to navigate both walking & driving. The home is clean and the beds and linen’s comfortable. The Wi-Fi & electronics worked perfectly as well as the kitchen equipment. The cupboards held everything we needed. Street parking was safe- unless you have a small car, do not try to park inside the gate off the alley. Also, don’t park in the alley behind the home except to load/unload. We will go back to this home - we had plenty of room for six adults (1 bedroom had two sets of bunk beds so we could have had more kids or adults).
