Villa Sweden located on Estreito de Câmara de Lobos hills in the agricultural village.
The downstairs door leads to the beautiful route of Levada do Norte where you can observe several endemic species of Madeira. If a walker you will enjoy this fascinating hike through local agriculture and flora.

Beautiful setting
We had a wonderful Christmas stay. Karl and Tereza we fantastic hosts who went the extra mile in escorting us to the property and showing us the local area. The house was beautiful with stunning views and even had finishing touches including a Christmas tree! Would definitely stay again in the future.

Lovely property
The property is lovely with spectacular views. Everything is clean and comfortable. It has all the amenities that you'd expect. The hot-tub is nice as well. We wish we could have extended our stay here! Note that at the time of this writing Google Maps is not yet updated to reflect the tunnel to take you up close to the property - you may with to get google to take you to the tunnel opening and then search for the property after passing through the tunnel. Otherwise best of luck on the local roads!

Not a private house, but very nice view!
- Rent a small and strong car, as the way up to the house is very challenging to drive up with steep and narrow streets. - Note that other than described, there is no complete privacy, as the host is living on the property in the house right next door. - She has a dog strolling around on the property and peeing on whirlpool and furniture. - The WiFi is working solely in the living room. - During spring time, the house is a bit wet and cold, we were instructed not to use the A/C to heat the room while absent. - There is only one A/C in the living room and one in the master bedroom. - Wood for the Fireplace has to be purchased for 5 €. - Extra linen cost 25€ per person, two towels (one small, one large) per person were provided, but no extra towels for the whirlpool. - The view from the house is great and the whirlpool is clean. - Rooms are clean and basics for cooking (salt, pepper, oil,..) were provided, as well as a Nespresso machine and an AppleTV box.

A special place for relaxation and tranquillity
The villa is a very attractive and cozy house, which contains everything you need for a longer stay. The interior is modern and extravagant with many interesting details. Due to the somewhat rainy weather, we found the electric bathroom heaters/towel dryers very useful, also because we could often use them for our wet jackets. The villa has a super nice view day and night and is very quiet due to its location (except for the gas bottle supplier who drives through the streets once a week ;-)). As previously described in an other review, the house or the driveway to it is on an extremely steep and narrow street, which can be mastered without any problems if you drive down the street to the house and don't necessarily trust the shortest route from Google Maps. With its own parking space in the courtyard and the electric gate, driving in and out was always easy to master. The is a larger Continente supermarket nearby which is stocked with most essential things. And fresh fruits, vegetables or cheese can be purchased in the local market hall. After 15 years of vacationing with houses that have a jacuzzi, Villa Sweden ranks at the top of the list - with lots of space and extremely powerful jets. And also with a view directly into the valley day and night. From Villa Schweden we were also able to hike directly along the Levada do Norte to Cabo Girao, from where you can take a taxi back to the house if the way back is too far. We thank Tereza and Karl for the unforgettable week!

Fijn huis
Het is een heel fijn huis met een mooi uitzicht. De eigenaren zijn vriendelijk en behulpzaam en geven tips voor de omgeving. Ik was jarig tijdens het verbijf en kreeg van de eigenaar een fles champagne! Het huis is netjes en schoon, de foto's zijn precies zoals het in het echt is. Er is 1 nadeel en dat zijn de blaffende honden in de buurt, maar dat hebben wij in heel zuid Europa gehad .

Wunderschönes Haus mit toller Aussicht
Das Haus ist sehr liebevoll und schick eingerichtet. Die Aussicht ist traumhaft. Entspannen im Whirlpool macht viel Spaß. Die Gastgeber sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir waren über Weihnachten im Haus und es war liebevoll weihnachtlich dekoriert. Das hat uns sehr gefallen. Wir wurden ganz lieb mit Pralinen und Sekt empfangen. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder. Vielen lieben Dank.

Merveilleux
La maison est très agréable et très confortable. La vue est magnifique. Jacuzzi au top. L’accès par le haut ne pose aucun souci. Un peu long mais une fois la haut on ne regrette pas! Super accueil et bon conseils d’Osvaldo, merci encore! Un endroit génial pour découvrir une île incroyable…

Comfortable house with a great view
Comfortable, clean, and modern house, great for a small family or two couples. Hosts were very friendly and accommodating. Location is a bit challenging to drive to; the completion of the tunnel will make it much easier. Loved the outdoor jacuzzi, hot and clean. Everything you need for a great stay in Madeira.
