This beautiful home is located on a 1.24 acre high ground lot on Deepwater and marsh is only minutes from downtown Charleston. Residing next to protected marshland, it is a perfectly intimate location. Park your boat out back to have immediate access to the Wando River and Charleston Harbor.

This custom built home, reminiscent of a country estate, features an open floor plan, five well designed bedrooms, a fully equipped gourmet kitchen with adjoining 'Butler's Pantry' and luxurious outdoor spaces extending the living area of the home. Night lighting highlights the moss-laden live oak trees that make this property so unique and beautiful. The spacious master bedroom connects to a large 'his & hers' walk-in closet and spa-like master bathroom complete with marble flooring, Jacuzzi tub, marble shower with bench seating and double sinks.

This property has all amenities available to fully enjoy your time at this marsh retreat; two single kayaks, a canoe (life jackets provided), crab traps, full sized swinging lounger perfect for relaxation, a gas and charcoal grill and yard games. The property also features WiFi, two washer/dryers, hardwood floors throughout, stainless steel appliances, screened porch with outdoor dining space and lounge chairs, IPOD dock/sound system, sofa bed, and flat screen TVs in (3) bedrooms and Living Room. The spacious dining room has seating for 8 and kitchen island seating for 4. Additional dining space available on screened porch and deck.

This home is approx. 3496 sq. ft. Linens are included. No smoking. Fireplace not for guest use. Pet Friendly with $150 non-refundable pet fee. $375 CLEANING FEE is required. Landline phone not available.

Great place

This is the second time we have stayed here and it is a lovely house with a great yard and dock for fishing. Good location. The kitchen could stand to be better equipped with cooking utensils and dishes.

Wedding weekend

Our family enjoyed the inside and outside space of this home. There was plenty of room to gather and plenty of rooms to have our own quiet space. We enjoyed mornings on the deck, the large yard, and the walk out to the dock. Definitely felt like a home away from home. Very close to I’on. Mount Pleasant was just minutes away, Charleston and Isle of Palms were about 18 minutes away. A great location of all our events in Charleston, Daniel Island, and I’on.

Lovely home and location

We love the location and layout of this home. We stayed here many years ago and returned this past fall. The location is in a nice quiet neighborhood with access close to everything you need (groceries, restaurants etc). Our main issue was with how the kitchen was equipped….mainly with whatever previous guests bought and left behind. Random glasses, cheap silverware, assortment of cookware and cooking utensils, kitchen knives were dull and no steak knives. There was even a lot of pancake mix, flour, condiments, that haven’t been thrown out in a long time. The floors need to be mopped. Our socks were black and dust bunnies are under all the beds. I think with some good tlc and pulling the kitchen back together with purpose would go a long long way.

Perfect wedding weekend!

This place was awesome! The pictures/post do not do it justice. It was a perfect wedding weekend! Well appointed, nicely furnished, and we loved the quiet setting. We have a large, (very close knit) family, (26 in total, but we did not all stay there), and we were all pleased. The only comment was for my mom, the matriarch of us all. No grad bars…not easy to shower/bathe/.hold onto. We travel as a group/family…somewhat often for a family of our size, but I highly recommend!!!! Loved the one story living/entertaing. Bonus was the owner called the day of check in to let us know that it was “ready”, before the scheduled 4:00 check in. I thought that this was a super nice gesture, but we were all traveling .Would book again, for sure! One happy daddy of the bride!

Beautiful house with incredible views

Our extended family stayed here for Spring Break. We were pleasantly surprised by the amount of space this home offered. It was larger than anticipated with a great layout! We had all we needed. The yard & the dock were icing on the cake. We loved the views of the waterways and the peace the home offered. I highly recommend this place for a visit to the Charleston area!

Great home- As advertised!

We had a wonderful time at this property. It is exactly as the pictures and description show. Plenty of entertaining space. Great dining room table for dinner for the 11 of us. Two full-sized refrigerators and copious cupboard space. The dock is gorgeous and the yard is very large and great for lawn games such as bocce ball and Koob. Everything was clean and Dean was very responsive to our needs. Centrally located and we would stay again.

Thanksgiving

The house was great. There was plenty of room for all of our family. We loved the extra refrigerator and room where we could store things. We were disappointed in the kitchen not being stocked with very many casserole dishes or variety of pots/pans. The one pan there was not in very good condition.

Beautiful huge home and convenient location

We highly recommend this home for extended stays, large family groups or even events. The home is 3500 sq. ft. It sleeps over 10 and has a large dining room plus seating at the kitchen bar. There is parking for over 6 on the property with public parking across the street if you have more cars. The yard is huge and has a dock and kayaks on the creek behind. There are two big porches, one screened in and the other has a portion that is covered with a large sofa swing. It's a very quiet and peaceful neighborhood. The beds are comfy and the sheets and towels smell incredible. I want to know what they wash everything in! The kitchen is well-stocked and we were able to cook for our large group. The location is perfectly located centrally from downtown Charleston , Isle of Palm, Sullivan Island and Daniel Island. There are a zillion excellent restaurants and activities close by and lots of places to bike and jog. I have this saved in my favorites!

Beautiful House

We loved our stay here, rooms were perfect for our needs. We had a wonderful time as a family being there and we did lots of stuff in Charleston. Overall would recommend this house. Highly recommend Orlando’s Pizza (very close by). Here are some things to note: Kitchen basically has everything you need however some of the sauté pans are worn. Grill is good however uneven heating, there are some bugs we found alive in the house but in southern states that’s a possibility (we’re from Florida so used to it, however seemed like a little more bugs were there so maybe pest control could be increased), dock was listed “deep water” however the approach to the dock and into the canal was, at low tide, extremely shallow. We had a 20’ Robalo and it was hard to navigate. Furniture is a little worn (2 dining room chairs broke with popping springs which we sort of fixed, the others were pretty uncomfortable as well). The backyard is beautiful but unfortunately it was so hot we weren’t able to enjoy it as much. Again, it’s a beautiful home and would stay here again.

A spectacular house, but the owner has neglected it.

The location is very convenient to everything you might be doing in Charleston. The property is beautiful: the enormous back yard , going back to the marsh, has a small forest of live oaks. Two large porches add to the living space .The house is spacious, well-designed , and furnished with interesting pieces. It was comfortable for our party of 12. The master suite is palatial. There are plentiful towels and the beds and bed linens are of good quality. But the place has been neglected. When we arrived we were greeted by note saying the kitchen sink had been discovered, the day before, to be non-functional , but would be fixed the next day. It was not. Meanwhile, we discovered that the main oven and the dishwasher also didn’t work . Fortunately there is a secondary sink in the butlers pantry, ( the size of a full kitchen), and a second , small oven. Drawers in the kitchen were filled with junk, of the sort we all have in our homes, but don’t expect in a rental. There was a drawer full of filthy pot holders. The sponges were used and unpleasant- again, not what you expect. No dish towels at all, one dish rag. Baking pans that showed a lifetime of use. A haphazard collection of cooking tools.Superficial housekeeping was adequate but no one had bothered cleaning up under the sinks, or in the bathroom drawers either. Closets were filled with pillows and blankets just thrown in. The master closet was almost completely dark, as all but one bulb had burned out. It was very disturbing to see all this evidence of careless neglect in this wonderful house. The sink and dishwasher were fixed on our third day, the oven wasn’t salvageable. The owner said he’d replace it later. It is puzzling that the owner didn’t know about these problems with his appliances. To his credit, he offered us a free night to make up for all the inconvenience, and two members of our party were able to do this - the rest of us were returning home on our last day. It would take very little effort to bring this house up to the standards one expects In a vrbo rental of this price and quality.

Charleston Wedding

We booked this property almost one year an advance. We wanted a place with water access so that we could bring our boat. Check the box, the house has a great floor plan to house plenty of people. The ease of renting with Dean was amazing. Plenty of parking. We would book this place again

Great house

We stayed here with 12 people for a baseball tournament at Shipyard. Overall the house is great! The location is great for the tournament, super close to Shem Creek, and grocery stores. You have your own personal dock to the marsh with kayaks and crab traps. If you fish, definitely bring your gear. Our 6 boys spent a lot of their free time on the dock. The house easily slept all of us, with the addition of 2 blow up mattresses. A few things to note, the kitchen isn’t stocked as well as it could be, so if you plan to cook, keep that in mind. Cookware and cooking pans are sparse. The back railing is rotted and should be noted not to lean on it. But overall, we were very happy with our stay and would definitely rent there again!
