Family Trip

The Farmhouse was perfect for our family trip from the USA to Suffolk to visit my Mom's hometown. There was plenty of room for all of us and all of our family to visit us throughout our stay. The house was well appointed with everything we needed. The grounds are beautiful and the little trail around the property. We were looking forward to using the fire pit area but it was grown over and not useable. Otherwise a perfect house!

Long awaited reunion.

Our group of four couples gather once a year for a few days. This house was per.felt for us. We all enjoy cooking, the large well equipped kitchen has plenty of space to all gather. There are so many rooms to relax comfortably. The area is great for walking and seeing wildlife, and is near enough to the beautiful Suffolk coast. The local pub is excellent and just up the road. We loved our stay and are considering a return visit.

A splendid large farmhouse in lovely countryside

This is a perfect house for a large family gathering and a great base for exploring the surrounding countryside or further afield. The house (and converted barn behind for the even larger party) is a destination in itself - it has history and space (inside and out) to lose yourself in. It lends itself to a celebration but also to cosy relaxing evenings. The kitchen is well equipped and a convivial space for any cook but, if you prefer, the Four Horseshoes pub, just down the road serves tasty homemade meals. The house is set in a delightfully wildish garden with a great barbecue and outside dining area. Behind there are fields to roam in; that also become the gateway to the local and recommended Thornham Walks. Andrew is a most generous host and clearly enjoys guests loving the house as much as he does.

We chose this property as we needed space and bathrooms for our large family. This did not let us down. A magnificent size so we all could share the kitchen, laze around in the reception rooms and have our own bathroom. The gardens were beautiful and we had amazing weather. If I could update a few things it would be the mattresses could be more comfortable and the bedlinen more luxurious as our bed had linen duvet and sheets which wasn’t so nice to sleep in . The garden furniture wasn’t as comfortable as it looked but we managed to enjoy the outdoor space regardless. Very beautifully surroundings and would go back as the house is stylishly decorated and well kept. The weather was amazing the week we stayed so we really enjoyed walking around the area and venturing to the coast. A great week. Thank you

A perfect return to normality

After many months of separation from our daughter and her family, Grove Farm House provided the warmth and ambience of a family home that we all needed to have a relaxing long weekend.
