Wonderful villa for a group of ten people, strategically located to explore the Chianti area and the main cities and towns in Tuscany.
The villa is located near the splendid Via di Setteponti, the medieval ounce road which was the main link between Arezzo and Florence, boasts charming villages and towns that date back to that era.
Villa Setteponti could be the house in the countryside. Bright and airy, this large villa combined all the best elements of the Tuscan tradition with modern comforts and services. French windows open in the huge MOST rooms, well-kept garden with wonderful ICT varieties of flowers and old trees. Living areas lead out to shady, wonderful balconies for outdoor dining and relaxing with an enchanting view of the swimming pool or the olive groves and vineyards.
The rooms are elegantly furnished with antique beds, outside the dining room and living room, with working fireplaces, they are tastefully decorated with period and design furniture. The kitchen is very well equipped, has a fireplace and opens onto the traditionally furnished loggia where there is a functioning wood oven. A large brick barbecue is located just off the loggia dining room.

The house and property were just as in the description. We were greeted by the host, show around the property. Also had a large assortment of pastries waiting for us. Very nice place.

La ubicacion de la propiedad es excelente. Su parque, piscina y facilidades de barbacue inmejorables. Los dueños muy amables y eficientes. La amplitud de la casa permite alojarse con comodidad. Los aspectos negativos se refieren a la necesidad de cambiar las camas dado que la mayoria de ellas se hunden. Asimismo recomendamos fumigar dado que en la noche ingresaban grandes insectos. Nos sorprendio que tuvieramos que abonar 25 euros diarios por uso de aire acondicionado al final de la estadia.

A Tuscan dream come true!

Our stay was peaceful, restful, and very enjoyable. The villa and property are so lovely and perfectly suited to our party of five adults, with room to spare. Maria and Alessandra could not have been more kind and welcoming. They graciously accommodated our very late check-in and even had a lovely tray of breakfast essentials prepared for our first morning. If a stay in a Tuscan villa is on your bucket list, this is the perfect location!

Fabulous house and place

Thank you to Maria for allowing us to stay here, a lovely large house with a fabulous enclosed garden and pool in a very beautiful part of the world. There were eight adults and there was plenty of room for everyone. Everything was catered for and the owners were very helpful.

Even better than we expected

A really lovely place, in a lovely part of the world, owned by really lovely people! The house and gardens are even better than the photos suggest - particularly the pool , the outdoor living space - a large dining area on one side of the house, a large living area on the other. Very well equipped for a stay, including plentiful towels *(both bathroom and pool) and kitchenware. There is a bbq and separate pizza oven available too. We were there for a week in august, which was very warm, but the house stays cool, meaning we didn't need to us the optional AC at all all week. Plenty of room for parking and a ten minute walk to the local café/shop and a 5 minute drive to a few very good local restaurants. Supermarkets also no more than 10 mins either direction. All in all a perfect place for a week of Tuscan sunshine and relaxing. The owners live next door, but left us alone (unless we had a few local tourist questions!) and were very friendly and helpful throughout - before and during our stay.

Nous avons passé une belle semaine en famille et avec des amis dans cette villa située au calme de la campagne toscane. Le jardin, la piscine, les terrasses sont magnifiques, bien entretenues et pratiques. La maison est spacieuse et bien conçue. Un petit rafraîchissement des chambres et des salles de bain seraient bienvenu. Malgré cela, notre séjour a été parfait. Les propriétaires sont disponibles et sympathiques, tout en restant discrets. Ils ont toujours répondu rapidement à nos demandes et questions. Merci Alessandra et Maria Grazia !

Ein rundum schöner Aufenthalt

Vielen Dank an Maria und ihre Familie. Es war ein rundum schöner Aufenthalt. Das Haus und der Garten sind noch viel grösser, als angenommen. Der grosszügige Pool ist ein besonderes Highlight. Wir, 2 Erwachsene + 5 Kinder und eine weitere Erwachsene Person, die uns mit dem Wohnmobil besucht hat, hatten genügend Platz und Privatsphäre. Das Haus und der Garten sind sauber und werden regelmässig gepflegt. Alessandra und Maria waren stets erreichbar, wenn wir eine Frage oder einen Wunsch (Anfrage Ausflugstipps) hatten. Am Freitag hatten sie sogar noch eine leckere Überraschung für uns. Danke für den schönen Aufenthalt! Fazit: sehr empfehlenswert!

Beautiful property

Stayed here with my family (5 adults and 4 children under 4.) The property was very nice! The house itself was beautiful and all bedrooms had a door with access to the garden. The garden was large with several places where you can sit either in the sun or in the shadow, so that was perfect! The owner/hosts were very nice and welcoming. Communication was perfect. When there was a small problem it was handled fast and very accurately! Location was also very good. The surroundings are beautiful with small villages that have small supermarkets, cafes, nice restaurants and things like that. Large hyper market is a 15-20 min drive. Larger villages/tourist attractions are a little further away; with Arezzo like 30 mins, but Firenze and Sienna at about 45-60 mins. So you have to take that into account, especially with small kids that don’t like long drives. Fortunately we did the tourist attractions on previous trips and it was kind of nice to just chill and not do too much at this beautiful property!

Toscany at it's best

Very lovely house. Very well taken care of and Maria is available and very helpful with informationa and directions. Pictures represent "reality". We enjoyed the lovely garden with it's natural shady places to enjoy the day. We were able to make many different day trips and the house lies in a perfect location for Arezzo and Siena. Also the Chianti area including San Gimignano. Very close by there is a fantastic vineyard and winetasting is possible. (in Campogialli follow the sign along the graveyard). Can fully recommend this property. Thank you Maria and Alesandra for all your tips and help.

Schönes Haus mit kleinen Abstrichen

Die Lage des Hauses ist sehr gut, um die Toskana zu erkunden. Das Haus hat einen riesigen Garten und sehr großen Pool, so dass man wunderbar die Zeit draußen genießen kann. Das Haus könnte etwas besser gereinigt sein. Bei unserer Ankunft waren doch relativ viele Spinnweben vorhanden. Auch ein paar der Outdoor-Möbel (Tisch an der Lounge, 2-3 Liegen) könnten mal ausgetauscht werden, da sie in die Jahre gekommen sind. Die Gastgeber sind sehr herzlich und halten sich angenehm zurück. Bei Fragen/Problemen sind sie aber sofort zur Stelle und versuchen Abhilfe zu schaffen.

Location of the villa: Florence, Arezzo and Siena can be reached in less than an hour. Great restaurants and wine tasting are nearby. Villa: Very well equipped, enough space for 10 people. The owners are very accommodating and charming and are in the immediate vicinity. Very large and beautiful turnaround with great planting and vegetable garden. Relaxing in Tuscany

The house was a lovely Tuscan farm house, located in the hamlet of Campogialli, which is about 15minutes directly east of the town of Montevarchi. Montevarchi is half way between Arezzo and Florence, in the heart of Tuscany! It’s a beautiful, large ranch home with enough room for our two families and lots of kids. It has a wrap around patio (and in July heat we used every side) with a great pool and view. Rooms are big, bathrooms and kitchen are very clean and nice. Air conditioning in every bedroom and in the main living area. We spent the week lounging and visiting the towns of Arezzo, Cortona, Pienza and Montepulciano and in the evening when we were tiered we went down the road to a very close restaurant called “Lo Strettoio Restorante”. It had an outdoor area where the kids can play, allowing us parents to relax and drink lots of the house red wine. Restaurant owners are absolutely the best, service is great and the food was some of the best we had in Italy. Note: get directions, it’s hard to find unless you’re a local! Restaurant opens at 7pm and closed on Wednesdays. The days we didn’t tour around Tuscany we lounged by the pool and relaxed. It’s a very comfortable home and would go again. I would give it 8 out of 10 stars easily. Pros: Big rooms, nice bathrooms, good kitchen and amenities, very comfortable couches and spaces to relax, description is very accurate online and most importantly, home owners are extremely nice (real Italian hospitality- they were helpful in every way and even brought over a full spread lunch one day!) Only three real things to note (not cons per se but be aware): One- of the master bedrooms smelled a little like grandma’s old bedroom, with a bit of a musty smell. Two- it’s Tuscany, everything is growing so bring your allergy medicine (I have particularly bad allergies) and Three- expect bugs. All of them are harmless but there are honey bees and they like to hang out at the pool too when it’s really hot. Tuscany in general can be humid at times, so unless you’re on a high hilltop, everything is alive! Bring bug spray for the kids in the evenings during the summer months. Other notables, make sure you get directions from the home owners on where the Ipercoop (supermarket) is, in Montevarchi and restaurants are. Tuscany is a bit like Pennsylvania, there are no direct roads anywhere and my iPhone maps app could tell me where I was but directions are difficult in rural areas.
