Hoot House is a comfortable and cosy property situated in wonderful surroundings in the Snowdonia National Park. Located a short drive from Tywyn, Aberdyfi and Fairbourne, this property is the perfect place to stay when looking to explore all the area has to offer. Cook yourselves a hearty meal in the well equipped kitchen and after sitting down to enjoy this with your family why not challenge each other to a game of chess or even table football. There is a great local pub less than half a mile (5-minutes walk) from the property.
Wander down to the Talyllyn Railway Station situated in Abergynolwyn and take the heritage steam trains in to Tywyn. From here you could take a walk on the beach, and on a nice day, tides and energy permitting, can even walk the 4 or so miles from Tywyn Beach to Aberdyfi Beach. Afterwards, treat yourself to a spot of lunch and then get the train back to Tywyn. Alternatively, Hoot House offers a great location for a number of other walks. There is the Quarryman’s Trail which visits the old mine of Bryn Eglwys slate quarry and boasts expansive views. Also you can walk to Dolgoch Falls right from the doorstep, just over 2½ miles away. If you fancy a real challenge, why not head over to Cadair Idris.
After all of this exploring come back to Hoot House and relax for the evening. Put your feet up and watching a film on the impressive TV, or sit in the conservatory taking in the surroundings, with the underfloor heating to keep you warm. Beach 8 miles. Shop 7½ miles, pub and restaurant ¼ mile.
