PERFECT FOR :
Families and friends looking for a welcoming, comfortable apartment with easy access to the mountain lifts and amenities of Les Houches. Offering the perfect base for a lovely getaway throughout the year. Just a six minute walk to The Prarion and Bellevue lift stations where you will find a small selection of Bakeries, Equipment hire, Local bars/shop and Art Gallery and a 15 minute walk to the heart of Les Houches. Close to the Autoroute and other transport links.

THE BUILDING :
A small and well built Residence, your apartment entrance is on the ground floor, providing easy access for guests looking to avoid using stairs.

INSIDE :
Apartment Iris is a lovely two bedroom property. Upon entry you will find the main living space including kitchen, dining table for 6 people, lounge with access to the spacious balcony and the ensuite bedroom on the right. The second bedroom is on the left of the apartment along with Family bathroom and separate WC.
The living/ dining room is well planned and comfortable with a fully equipped kitchen catering for the whole party.
Open up the large sliding doors and enjoy an aperitif on the beautiful balcony, the best spot for taking in the spectacular views of the surrounding landscape.

The private garage is great if you would like to bring your car, or store your bike; it is the best spot for storing your skis over your winter holiday as well, with easy access using the stairs or elevator.

OUTSIDE :
You will love the panoramic view of the Chamonix Valley from the large balcony accessed through the living room. It's really breathtaking.

GREAT LOCATION :
Just a six minute walk to The Prarion and Bellevue lift stations where you will find a small selection of Boulangeries, Equipment hire, Local bars/shop and Art Gallery and a 15 minute walk to the heart of Les Houches.
1 minute walk to the nearest bus stop.

GETTING AROUND :
Chamonix Holidays will provide your group with tourist cards/Carte d’hotes which give you free use of the trains plus discounts at the pool and entry to museums. A night bus also runs from Argentiere to Les Houches and costs 4€ per person.

USEFUL BITS :
The WiFi internet service has recently been updated to a Fibre service. There is a TV in the living area and a selection of books and games. If you need to book a transfer from Geneva Airport we recommend Haute Transfer, Mountain Drop Offs and Swiss Tours. We can help organise ski passes so that they are waiting for you when you arrive. Please ask if you have any questions.

YOUR ARRIVAL :
Arrive any time after 16h and with our self-check-in process, you do not need to worry about being a little earlier or later than planned. You will receive comprehensive information via Guest Platform ‘ ‘Yaago’ on how to find the apartment before you arrive.

PARKING :
There is plenty of space available outside the apartment building to park. You can also use the underground garage that comes with the apartment.

Summer top tip - Les Houches has some incredible bike trails, take advantage of the storage space to bring your bike and enjoy the most out of your holiday!

Winter top tip - This location is perfect for families with children in ski schools, the meeting point is only 6 minutes away which means you can be up and out as quickly as possible.

Mixed bag

Les Houches was a lovely place to stay. The property manager responded quickly and accommodated a change of dates for us. The property was clean, comfortable, and homely. We had some wifi issues which were tricky to resolve as we were only there over the weekend. One significant point to make is that the driveway to get to the property is quite steep with a very sharp bend. The listing says this driveway is heated, and it is, but if you arrive or need to leave before ice/snow has thawed, it is treacherous. My family and I had to salt and shovel the drive for about 30 minutes to get out one morning, and we were working hard to do it in that time. From then on had to park a few minutes walk away in a public car park to avoid the risk of not being able to get out of the property by car before the afternoon when the ice and snow melts from the heated driveway. This is significant if you are intending to stay during the winter.In general, the management company responded quickly, and the stay was pleasant, but the icy/dangerous driveway is a major factor to consider.

Appartement récent, moderne, calme à proximité des commerces

La vue exceptionnelle sur le mont Blanc et sur la vallée de Chamonix. La présence d'un garage Chambre adulte : - le rideau n'est pas occultant (réveillés dés la levée du jour) - mettre des oreillers à la place des traversins Cuisine : - Pas de bols pour déjeuner ( récipients en plastique) - Manque de vaisselle : obligé de lancer le Lave vaisselle après chaque repas - Manque une cafetière - Manque un four micro onde (pratique pour réchauffer) - Pas de store sur la fenêtre (côté cuisine, en vis à vis direct avec le parking) - Poubelle trop petite pour un logement de 4 à 6 personnes Balcon : - pas de chaises donc nous n'avons pas pu profiter du très grand balcon - nettoyer le sol du balcon : présence de poussières de ciment (idem dans le garage) Salle de bain : - présence d'une machine à laver

Lovely apartment

This is a very new property located in a development in Les Houches. It has been well finished and is well equipped, it is also very close to the Les Houches lifts Great for four, might be a little small for six
