Private parking for 1 car (allocated). No Smoking.. Dovecote Cottage is a comfortable mid-terraced property situated on the cusp of the welcoming coastal village of Embleton. There is an original feature range in the living area, and the views across farmland towards the sea on the horizon are superb. With two steps to the front entrance the rest of the accommodation is all conveniently on the ground floor. There are three bedrooms, with the master having an en-suite and a family bathroom. The kitchen leads to an enclosed rear garden where there is an historic feature dovecote.
There is a local shop, garage and pubs serving food, all within walking distance of Dovecote Cottage. Embleton is renowned for its glorious sweep of golden sands, recently awarded ’Beach of the Year’ by BBC Countryfile Magazine Awards. Beadnell Bay is a short drive north and is a popular spot for watersport enthusiasts including kayaking, kite surfing, and diving. Another couple of miles up the coastline brings you to the traditional fishing port of Seahouses where there is a supermarket and a choice of places to eat and boat trips to the Farne Islands depart regularly from the harbour. Travelling 8 miles inland from Embleton is the historic market town of Alnwick where the Duke of Northumberland resides in Alnwick Castle. Alnwick Garden is a popular visitor attraction as well as Barter Books. Dovecote Cottage provides a homely base from which to explore this Heritage coastline designated as an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Golf is also available nearby. Beach 1 mile. Shop, pub and restaurant ¼ mile.
